It's been a truly collaborative effort to ship this, all in the first six-week cycle of the year. We only decided we were going to do it just before Christmas. Kudos to @andybee.com, @jonathancresswell.co.uk , @alexwatson.co @dbj.bsky.social for being a joy to work with and delivering the goods.
We always try and think from the user's perspective and speak in accessible language. We also had to constantly watch out for when to use "back up" (verb) versus "backup" (noun).
I've particularly enjoyed working on the copy for this new section. Every word in the flow has been written with care and scrutiny. For example, instead of "Automatic backup settings", it's "Change when automatic backups happen".
And just as you can easily import a library from another music scheduler app into Aiir Scheduler, you can now in theory take a backup, close your account and move elsewhere. The data is in your hands.
They can take a backup and pass it to another Aiir Scheduler customer, who can then restore it to their account. This could be a game changer for consultants who want to share a format in an instant.
Screenshot of the first menu screen in the new "Back up or Restore" section of Aiir Scheduler. It asks "What would you like to do?" and then lists four options: Restore a backup, Back up now, Download a previous backup, Change when automatic backups happen. Below that, it says "Automatic backups enabled", and says when the last backup was taken.
We've just shipped "Back up and Restore" for Aiir's cloud basic music scheduler.
Customers will now have their library backed up automatically every day, can take a backup and download it whenever they need, and restore a backup from the cloud or upload one from their device.

Pleasure to be the person handing out the certificates for the @audioacademyuk.bsky.social @aiir.com 30 Under 30. I'm like Princess Anne at the Olympics, where you go "sure, they're there to hand it the honours apparently"

Next week, we start the 3rd cycle of 2025. Today we held the “betting table”, a meeting of our strategy team where we decide what we’re going to be working on for the next 6 weeks, who’s doing what, and how long we want to give each piece of work.
