While officially "British", a fair few of them were New Zealanders and Australian, hence why the 1st landing site is now known as ANZAC Cove, and ANZAC Day is a bigger commemoration than Armistice Day down here
I think they did the spaghetti trees in Australia as well . Also the introduction of metric time
Could be a bit like CRPitis
First time I read this I thought it said frailtyitis
Have you come across @audioculturenz.bsky.social ? Worth a look if you want to learn more about your adopted country's popular music history. Also some good playlists on the ubiquitous green and black streaming service
Strictly speaking it’s not compulsory to vote. It’s compulsory to turn up and have your name crossed off the electoral register and put 2 pieces of paper in the ballot box. What you put on the paper is no one’s business but your own, including nothing - it’s a secret ballot.
Then buy a sausage
Problem is they’re only averages. As a registrar I looked after a man who had been diagnosed nearly 20 years previously and was only just getting to the point he needed to enter residential care (an extreme outlier admittedly)

Same rationale previously used to not fund research into gun related injuries and deaths
Reminds me of the Yes (Prime) Minister quote about never setting up an inquiry you don’t already know the answer to
The autotranslate generating the subtitles makes it even funnier

How likely is ‘likely’? Does ‘likely’ have a higher probability than ‘probable’? I put together a quick quiz so you can see how you interpret probability phrases, then see how you compare with others: probability.kucharski.io

Been watching cricket at the Adelaide Oval since the late 70s, initially with my Dad and brothers, now usually with my son. Although born in Wales, I’ve always supported Australia (rarely here it called the EWCB). A great place to watch a test if you ever get the chance (as long as it’s not 40C)
Plus a keeper who was good both standing back and close to the stumps (to blokes bowling 130+)
Some experienced world class batsmen who played to the conditions helped as well. We’ll be giving Travis and Alex the keys to the city down here in sleepy old Adelaide
Archer did look dangerous in Adelaide but was a one man band
