Our research shows that medication abortion patients who receive pills by mail without first getting an ultrasound do just as well as those who are examined and given the drugs in person.
Any attempt to restrict this type of care is not based on science.

Text: 3,000 PASSENGERS FLOWN ELEVATED ACCESS Everyone deserves access to the healthcare they need, including abortion and gender-affirming care. Our volunteer pilots backed up by airlines provide no-cost air transportation for those who need assistance. Laid over images of illustrated green hills, the black plane logo with the rainbow and trans flag colors between the wings, a yellow sun, white clouds, and a small yellow plane flying.
We hit 3,000 people flown for abortion and gender affirming care!

Dems in the PA state leg have introduced a proposed amendment to their constitution. It's EXCELLENT for its thoroughness, its inclusion of the human right to choose to get pregnant/have kids, and its lack of viability rules. It's unlikely to go anywhere for now; Republicans control PA's leg. 1/5

Oh wow, this would be a game changer for Kitsap County. I look forward to seeing this model spread across the country.

Every day, and especially on Indigenous Peoples' Day--we celebrate the resistance and fight for land sovereignty, and underline how interlinked that is to our fights for bodily autonomy and access to abortions! Show your solidarity today by donating to @iwrising.bsky.social's Rain Fund.
Graphic by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (an anti-abortion organization) shows a pie chart of "Reasons for seeking abortion", and the % of abortions that were reported to be for that reason. All the reasons listed have been written over with the text "None of your business".
Fixed it for you, Charlotte Lozier Institute. 👍🏻

“My biggest fear is going to the hospital."
Pregnant immigrants are terrified ICE will show up outside the doctors' office or at the hospital. So they're skipping the care necessary to ensure a healthy birth.
Some experience dangerous complications as a result.

Some updates to our list here, and most of them are good—more affiliates tell us they are still caring for people with Medicaid post-"defund."
But an awful lot of these statements come with a "for now" caveat, suggesting things could change in a few weeks or months.
@autonomynews.co polled all PP affiliates about their status with regard to abortion services and Medicaid recipients, and collected the results here: www.autonomynews.co/heres-which-... 2/2
Our Bremerton Planned Parenthood will continue to provide services -- including medication abortion -- to Medicaid recipients, despite the "defund" provision in the federal budget. Folks elsewhere in the country may be in a different situation. 1/2

Our Access Director and Co-founder Elisa Wells on mifepristone's 25th anniversary in the US:
"While not a perfect system by any means, it represents an amazing revolution in access and an important way in which the injustice of abortion bans is being disrupted."
