I've heard of this one! But I decided I would rather read AMW biographies instead (I read two this year).
BREAKING NEWS FOR @courtneymilan.com
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc_z...
Lol I meant to mention that I read it earlier this year, as I figured it would be suggested.
I would like one more historical novel to fit with this month's reading:
Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo
China Dolls by Lisa See
Kill Her Twice by Stacey Lee
Any suggestions for other novels set in Chinatown in California in 1930-1959, with some sort of entertainment/movie aspect?
Feels like there are tons of book/publishing/romance events this weekend, not just Book Con.
unfortunately, the next few days it'll be like 4 C so sitting outside wouldn't be a great option, although after last chemo, I sat outside in a winter jacket in the middle of the night at one point.
Sitting outside feels nice even though it's 15 C and rainy. My head is just really craving fresh air.
Yeah I always called them teeth
Where is this?

Stopped to see some flowers on the way home from the hospital because I won't be able to go anywhere for several days. (It takes about 4 hours for me to start feeling like crap after chemo, so it hasn't hit yet.)
Ugh hair is falling out again, just when I thought I was getting some actual growth.
glad you enjoyed them!

New on the Anthropic settlement from the @authorsguild.org : over 91% (!!) of eligible books were claimed as of the claims deadline (I would not have predicted such a high number!)
Looks like the payout will be close to the $3000 originally estimated authorsguild.org/news/anthrop...
I won't really feel like I'm "done" chemo for several days though because it takes 5+ days to feel semi-normal.
will they ask me to ring the bell this weekend? idk
if so, will I do if it? idk
It will be my last IV chemo (but I could have oral chemo later). May or may not be my last immunotherapy.
I periodically feel the need to mention that I do not grow any flowers myself. Pictures are from public gardens.

Lots of blue grape hyacinths in sunny garden. Some of the followers have not fully opened yet.

Oh! I forgot to show you—my tree peony bloomed!
ahh so beautiful! I love peonies (they're still 6+ weeks away where I live)
If I do leave eventually, I will just not have my books on B&N and apple and switch books to Overdrive through Kobo where applicable. But tbh, it's more likely just to be something else that makes me leave indie altogether.
