Panera v. Qdoba
"A sandwich is not commonly understood to include burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, which are typically made with a single tortilla and stuffed with a choice filling of meat, rice, and beans."
April 2: guards cut all phone access in the housing units without warning. When detainees protested, CRS officers allegedly punched a man, threw another to the ground, kicked him in the head, and pinned him by the neck. A third detainee's wrist was broken. The entire cage was pepper-sprayed.
Be careful what you wish for -- Clarence Thomas is still on the Supreme Court.
BREAKING: Following the American threat of an “Avignon Papacy,” Robert Kennedy has begun a Diet of Worms
Not to mention that when FDR was bombing Germany, Democrats held the majority in both houses of Congress.
I am getting a lot of questions about whether Trump's threats alone are illegal. The answer is yes.
1. First, Additional Protocol I states “Acts or threats of violence the primary purpose of which is to spread terror among the civilian population are prohibited.” (also DOD LOW Manual §5.2.2)

Kid Rock.
Four words: Attorney General Kid Rock.
Ohio just introduced HB798, an omnibus anti-trans bill that targets every aspect of trans peoples lives. It bans trans people from bathrooms, even in private businesses. It retroactively bans gender marker changes on birth certificates and drivers licenses. It compels misgendering in schools.
I advocated for unseating Feinstein by defeating her in the 2018 election cycle. In the general she was running against a perfectly capable Democrat (Kevin DeLeon) over 30 years her junior. That was the time to do it, because at age 86 the chance of the decline that she had was too great of a risk.
How'd that work out with Dianne Feinstein? She stubbornly held onto her seat, denying her incapacity, when it was manifestly obvious to everyone.
I wouldn't be so sure. This is the same Elvis who sought a photo op with Nixon and gave Nixon a letter that included the line, "I have done an in-depth study of drug abuse and Communist brainwashing techniques."
ICE arrests 25% of travelers before they get into line. Lines are shorter, and the ICE agents make their arrest quotas. Win-win.
Lindsey Graham did serve 33 years in the Air Force and Air Force reserve (as a JAG), retiring as a colonel.
That said, the invasion of Iwo Jima resulted in over 7,000 Americans killed, and thereafter hostilities ended only after the use of nuclear weapons. So maybe not the best example.
That's nuts. Descriptive, I can understand, but generic? Try going into a bar and asking for a blueberry muffin.
In 1963, to be precise. See King-Seeley Thermos Co. v. Aladdin Indus., Inc., 321 F.2d 577 (2d Cir. 1963)
Doesn't go far enough. All other television must be preempted so that every channel shows the Army-Navy game. All other forms of entertainment must be shut down during the Army-Navy game. All citizens (all REAL Americans) must be required to watch the Army-Navy game.
SAVE is an acronym for Safeguard American Voter Eligibility, so it's already got a reference to America in there.
On the other hand, maybe it just needs more America in there to get it to pass. The SAVE America America America Act?
Worst gaffe SO FAR. Someone might have a question about nuclear weapons, and Trump will likely make a "joke" referencing Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Not a big surprise. Like a lot of new devices, it doesn't work for shit.
At least they have the hands in broken lines.
Yes. Peanut butter and sardine sandwich. Yes. YES! To have someone else answer your questions. Way more than that, even. It depends on the cough -- they come in different flavors. Because we need a place to dispose of used arms.
It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire.
1/ I’m going to explain to you in this🧵what I’ve learned - in part from closed door briefings - about the four biggest current crises.
It’s Long Covid Awareness Day (which I think should be the Ides of March, for reasons that will become clear.)
Some of you have heard this before. But I wanted to share my Long Covid story, because I think you should hear it.
On my birthday in November 2022, I woke up with Covid.
USPTO publishes supplemental guidance for examination of design patent applications related to computer-generated interfaces and icons The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is publishing supplemental guidance to be used by USPTO personnel to aid in determining current issues presented as to whether design patent applications related to computer-generated interfaces and icons are appropriately directed to statutory subject matter under 35 U.S.C. 171. The guidance highlights the latest types of patent eligible designs (e.g., computer generated interfaces or icons in the form of projections and holograms). The guidance also provides guidance on attendant drawing requirements and for claim and title requirements under 37 CFR 1.153 and 37 CFR 1.1067. This supplemental guidance is effective immediately and will be included in the Manual of Patent Examining Procedure in due course. Additional training materials will be provided to examiners. The full text of the notice is available at the Federal Register and on the Patent Related Notices webpage.
Oh, for Pete's sake.
The USPTO just "reinterpreted" design patentable subject matter to include disembodied designs.
Are each of us going to get 10 billion dollars because of this data breach?
It's going to come down to three: the Shah's son, the Iron Sheik, and some fellow who will go by the moniker Ayatollah Jared. (It will be narrowed down to two once he's informed that the Iron Sheik died a few years ago.)
