I spent the past two weeks learning shaders from scratch, and with some help from my Twitch chat, I made this waterfall shader with Godot's VisualShader system. It multiplies two noise textures and moves them over time. I also parametrized it, so the shader can be easily modified in the editor.

One of my controllers has stick drift, so for fun I made a little visualization scene in Godot just to see how bad it is. As an extra challenge for myself, I also wrote a simple shader to turn the Godot icon into colored circles.

Soooooo I decided to replace the RTX 3070 Ti that I was using with an RX 580 that I have had for close to 8 years. It just works. No stutters, no slow-downs... the much older and weaker GPU just works.
I'll try streaming with it today. Hopefully all goes well π€
