Danity Kane:
(There IS a brief mention of Damages -- also a brief mention of Bored to Death, which should DEF be part of this "top" 5 -- but ultimately, no love for Arthur Frobisher. Again, I say: NO THANK YOU.)
Um... no Damages? Um... NO THANK YOU.
Okay, THANK GOD.
Show: BELOVED CLASSIC.
Movie: I don't know her.
Yes, ADAM, it does.
But here's the thing: It still rules.
Reading is -- and I cannot stress this enough -- fucking fundamental.
You know I do lol
Also: You know Nurse Jesse was a member of Rooney, right?
mmhmmmmm
Station Eleven hive LET’S GOOOO!
wtf
There’s only one elegant solution to this problem of increasingly stupid audiences, and that’s to mandate that every film ends with a closing rap song that lays out all the moral lessons of the movie. There will be a government office that reviews the songs for aural and pedagogical value.
I LOVED Hart of Dixie. (And Everwood. The verdict is still out on The Madison, but like I said, it seems it lacks the charm of those other two.)
I immediately clocked Alex Bonifer ("Dougie") because of Kevin Can F**k Himself. And yes, I would also be like, "Wait, isn't that Lisa Gilroy, arguably the funniest person on the planet?" (And not just because I got to share the stage with her on a live Hollywood Handbook episode.)
"... Dr. Andrew Brown finds his life changed forever after his wife dies. He leaves glamorous Manhattan and his prosperous medical practice for the idyllic small town of Everwood, Colo. ... taking his two kids ... with him. "
...you see what I mean, right?
"The series follows the Clyburn family, originally from New York City, who relocate to ... Montana for emotional recovery following a major life-changing tragedy that both shocks and permanently changes the family."
...this is literally just Everwood.
Saw a promo for the new Taylor Sheridan series (The Madison) on Paramount+ this morning. Always here for the Pfeiff, but I have to ask, real quick: Did Taylor Sheridan just remake Everwood without The WB-esque charm?
I know not everyone is like, educated on the nuance of trans ideology and I appreciate anyone who is trying. Truly.
But overhearing this conversation as well as conversations I’ve been in this week where I’ve been misgendered & experiencing casual transphobia, I ask you this: how are you an ally?
But as one of MY best friends, you know I will also always stress about things like this lol
As I said after the fact, it was great ("great") they were clearly trying. If I had been there at the time it happened, instead of at the bar, I hope you know (based on my usual decorum) I would've approached to educate them.
Drunk but lucid thought... My one "they should've/would've had an EGOT!!!!" opinion -- TOTHISDAY.gif -- is Aaliyah. I believe in my bones that baby girl would've ascended to A-List actor status and been given all the flowers she deserved.
She married into the fam.
We have done... so many bits over this.
“What a cute little mocha munchkin!” Well, I'm only on the pilot, but I guess I'm a fan of Peacock's adaptation of The 'Burbs.
Thank you! 🫡
To be fair, with that combination, Prairie of Flames SOUNDS like it would be the best show on TV.
"I read the paragraphs." -- someone who has never done the reading
me! and WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather at our airport gate! I honestly fangirled hard.
Headed to see @wrestleprestige.bsky.social's last show tonight. Ran into The Godfather at the gate. Lost my damn mind, to be perfectly honest.
NJ lawmakers introduce the FUCK ICE Act.
The bill "permits civil action for violations of US Constitution related to immigration enforcement."
