She actively funds hate groups taking regular trans people to court for doing their jobs, signal boosts lies about individual trans people to her millions of followers and lobbies courts and government to attack us

Her office said the Office for Students (OfS), which regulates universities, had received reports of speakers and lecturers being harassed and blocked for holding gender-critical or religious views, of foreign interference suppressing academic freedoms, and of ideological belief requirements featuring in job advertisements.

The OfS will be able to use the new complaints scheme from September. From April, it will be able to fine universities the greater of £500,000 or 2 per cent of their income, which would amount to millions of pounds for large institutions, for breaches under the Freedom of Speech Act. Ultimately, universities could be deregistered for egregious cases.

Bridget Phillipson will introduce new laws to make it possible for Universities to be fined millions of pounds if they don't silence students who protest bigots invited onto their campuses. It's like the Tories never left office.

If you're the new lead of a LGBTQ+ advocacy org and your very first act in the job is to express sympathy for JKR in a national newspaper... Maybe... Idk... Just putting it out there... But maybe you're not the right person for the role.

In the UK today the de facto position is that you can be subsidized by the taxpayer, through charitable tax relief, to campaign for the pathologisation and elimination of a group nominally protected by the Equality Act, but not for its protection.

And, as usual for anyone who once, even nominally, supported trans people and tries to reach out to the bigots, you just end up ensuring everyone hates you because they will *never* accept you.

So, good work.

It's worth considering those Stonewall chair's comments about Rowling as they seem to be intended - an olive branch to the GC community and a signal that Stonewall is one of the 'good ones' now.

There is literally no other reason to say what she said otherwise.

I see Mary-Ann Stephenson really is building a relationship with LGBT organisation, by having her Labour colleague* infiltrate Stonewall.
