My magic system is simple and stream lined. Everyone has access to one of 4 elements (earth, fire, wind, and water). There are styles that require certain elements i.e. Steam magic is available to water and fire magic users.
Its a tool or supplement to life, never a solution.

It also gives you room to experiment literally. Also gives you room in case you get one of those "too silly" ideas. Like what if they evolved photosynthesis or something. It's a built-in reset button.

Its imperfect but things usually work out. Its got magic, technology, class struggle, adventure, and furries.
