No More Fumbling in the Dark - IgorBox x WAGO! YouTube video by IgorBox

I’ve been pretty radio silent because I’ve been heads down working for the last year on something epic. I’m so excited to share what we’ve been doing at IgorBox. We’re releasing it on 4/25/26.

Understanding AI Primacy and Recency Bias In my last post about context management, I talked about using requirements markdown files as context for AI coding sessions and briefly mentioned primacy and recency bias. I want to go deeper on this...

I've been working with AI Coding tools for over a year now and I've learned a lot. I'm going to attempt to share what I know with everyone via my blog. Here's my latest one: www.mikeheijmans.com/blog/post/ai...

Why do we still let airlines get away with the “no more binspace” lie?

It’s basically just a punishment for the people that couldn’t pay for upgrades.

Speeding Up Page Loads with Prefetch In the previous post, I explained how I built my "Jekyll Compatible" blog engine in NextJS. At the end of the post, I pointed out some performance concerns related to the server actions and markdown p...

Moving from Jekyll to NextJS For over a decade I used Jekyll to power mikeheijmans.com and publish the occasional blog post. It turns out I'm pretty bad at consistently blogging and I always wanted my personal website to be more ...

I converted my old Jekyll based website to NextJS and I wrote a blog post on how I set it up to render all my old blog posts.

It was a bit more involved (and challenging) than expected. But it was fun.

“Don’t click links” is just good advice in general. Especially “shortened” links like tinyurls. Those are the most sus. Trust no one. At least tinyurl has the preview feature if you prepend “preview” to the the url. But most others don’t have that.

I’ve been a huge fan for years and when I watched the video, I told my wife “this is about what I’ve seen him get into on Bluesky” within the first 5 seconds. We both loved it and support it. You are awesome discussing it! It is a real problem and it’s rooted in our connection to technology.

This is a motivational quote? For whom? The aspiring criminal mastermind?

This is good though (the transparency of the cost part). People need to learn that the IMPORTER pays for the tariff. Too many people think its the exporter.

I feel like @proton.me should be slinging deals hard right now. This coupled with the recent AI policy change, I'm sure many people around here would like alternatives. I'm certainly looking for them for my businesses that currently use G-Suite.. err workspace (whatever they're calling it now)
