Just remembering I saw a flyers fan talking about scratching Konecny this morning (because he’s “too injured”?). Anyway. Wild.
I think people hear “shot suppression” and get anchored to the idea of a steady boring team, which is like the last thing these Canes are. Heck their in zone defense is actually kind of a weak point (so you’re not even denied big scoring chances from the opposing team lol).
They used to make up for their lack of high end talent with hard work and a good system.
Well now they have a ton of guys with skill and hard work and a good system. It’s very fun to watch if you have any idea what you’re looking at.

It is kind of a bummer that most hockey fans have no clue what the canes are/have been for the last little while. Heck there’s more skill and flash on their “third pair” than probably any other in the league.
