From the local UK media feeds I just want to check in with my US friends.... That in fact it's Barak Obama facing off Elon Musk in this election right? It's one of these two that's going to be president soon.

Does that sound about right?

Artificial intelligence is great. But I am not sure we have solved the problem of basic human intelligence yet

Well, the #beeb chairman is gone. Again, not because of what he did, but because he got found out.

Who has the YouTube broadcast link for the event?

It's going to be live, right? Right?

So, it looks like URL lengths counts towards your post limit here on bsky. makes it kinda hard to get content in, given the URL lengths these days.

@why.bsky.team URL shortener, as much as that sucks, integrated into the client?

Ok folks, who has a way to get Twitter+Mastodon following/followers extracted in a way it can be used to find the same people on bluesky ?

2 years ago 0 0 0 0

Client side it.

... If you can workout a way to not let folks game it, when building their own clients.

OTOH, Inference on GPUs is easier to scale (and cost a lot less) than training.

Maybe bit of both client+svc side (?)

Only partially kidding... A Bayesian engine in the client, with a good enough init-corpus, and let folks train their own.

The GPT/hosted angle maybe - a 'community confidence' metric. I am very aware, as I am sure you are too, that anything with an open contribution funnel, can be gamed.

I guess sending entire threads through at one shot and scoring each post would get the context side of things.

But more importantly is there a clear set of guidelines on when a post is considered spam? May need some way to test those boundaries.

That looks lovely, we have had a couple of grey'ish days here in Cambridge but it's still a lovely time.

The view from my 'office' isn't half bad these days.
