Where the red fern grows.
A group of planetary scientists and researchers gather to listen to a talk about Venus; beyond, the Ohio River.
I am really proud to have played a small part in helping organise the 2026 Planetary Science Community Workshop at the Kentucky Science Center in Louisville, KY!
We're a small workshop, but we're entirely community driven. And maybe the start of something bigger.
Man, I'm about to be out there in a week and this couldn't have waited until then? Rude.
The HiRISE team notes the passing of two esteemed friends and colleagues: Deputy Principal Investigator emerita Candice Hansen-Koharcheck and Co-Investigator Paul Geissler.

This is what our neighbors did when they bought their home. It's smack dab in the middle between their two workplaces.
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!

To the reporters who have asked NASA bold questions that never got answered, you're awesome and keep asking!
Science is good. We should fund it.
If you’ve been moved & inspired by Artemis, NASA needs your help. Literally during A2, the president proposed cutting NASA science 47%, canceling 54 missions, including many already in-flight. To help stop these cuts, check out @planetarysociety.bsky.social www.planetary.org/save-nasa-sc...
About to say words that have been rarely said in the past few years: NASA is Hiring!
If you are, or know of anyone, in between undergrad and grad school (or still deciding if grad school is the right move) then consider applying to a NASA Goddard Post-Bac position!

NASA's Barbara Cohen created this image of the Moon's Pierazzo crater, named after our late PSI colleague Betty Pierazzo. Betty was an expert in impact modeling and the astrobiological and environmental effects of impacts. She also passionately supported students and other teachers.

Did you know that NASA will be *flying* around on Saturn's ridiculously huge moon Titan… in less than TEN YEARS?
Yeah, Dragonfly is awesome.

Day 36. The money already spent on the conflict with Iran could fund #NASA SMD at FY26 enacted rates for more than 5 years.
Yet the #pbr wants to cut NASA science by ~50% (as the president tried to do last year, which #Congress rejected).

Why are fruit cups always half cantaloupe which is, like, the worst fruit ever?
Fuck it, let the Q continum run shit for awhile
Maybe because I grew up mostly in Michigan, the pollen doesn't bother me as much as others claim it does for them. I feel like I had more issues in Phoenix than here.
On Monday this week, as four humans flew around the far side of the Moon, Nature correspondent Alexandra Witze sat at the heart of the Artemis II mission’s science operations. Here's what she saw.

Bugs bunny.
Moonpie's got game.
Seems like it was a good day to be busy with work and look at photos of the Moon. #areweokay #areyouokay
The Moon and stars are blurred because the GoPro attached to the capsule needed a longer exposure to capture the image, taken while in the Moon's shadow, and the spacecraft was moving during the exposure.
Like, this is REAL!
🚀 #Artemis II update: the reaction control system thrusters on our European Service Module have performed the first of three trajectory correction burns as Orion and its crew make their way back home 🌍
BUT I WANNA TALK ABOUT THE BUDGET
