100%! My state has had legal recreational dispensaries since I think 2020 or 2021, I wish that as dispos opened that there was more priority in rectifying the wrongs of incarcerating people for non violent possession. The private equity dispensaries are so hollow and inauthentic 😞

There are still far too many people in prison for non violent cannabis related charges btw; Marijuana as a term was used to intentionally malign BIPOC who consume cannabis. Black people are nearly 4 times more likely to be incarcerated for possession than white people, despite similar usage rates.

This is the biggest thing for The Hunger Games series as an adaptation for me too, any book with heavy internal dialogue! Katniss has such a rich inner dialogue and that unfortunately has to be (mostly) left behind for the visual medium!
