A five by five bingo card, here are the things to look out for:
Top row: 80's bed linen, obscure musical instrument, bed too small for over 6ft person, CRT TV/Monitor, tumble dryer
Second row: exercise bike (as clothes horse), DALEK, 90s or earlier games console, too much crafting stuff, single beds for long term partners
Middle row: old cuddly toy, bed on tiles/lino, DUVET, multiple labubus, bare plaster board
Fourth row: bed next to fridge, 4+ Jilly Cooper novels, definitely dead house plant, caravan, large collection of jigsaws
Bottom row: giant buzz ball, "curtains" that are not curtains, scary dolls, bed under table, power tools.

Right then, no one asked for it (everyone seems quite happy with last year's!) but here we are anyway, your #DuvetKnowItsChristmas 2025 bingo card! Some returning classics, some we missed last year and some new ones. Enjoy team, donation link below once Rhodri posts it!

Because the world has too many loud sounds and sharp edges, please enjoy a look back at Reggie, a Pacific tree frog who took up residence in an outdoor planter at my workplace last October.

I was just about to ask the same thing.

Whereas in London today it was officially “stinky hot”.

Guessing your shower was too hot.

View south from Primrose Hill. Landmarks visible include the post office tower, the millennium wheel, the shard, St Paul’s cathedral and the financial district.

The landmarks in this view are not where they should be in my mental map of London (& @stpaulscathedral.bsky.social looks tiny!).

If it goes on like this I could soon be in charge.

Pretty sure it’s “I don’t care” training. Wonder if it’s still available. Might see if I can get a grant for some sessions.

I love French decor. I once stayed in a French hotel where the rosebud wallpaper had buds on top of stalks behind the headboard, but the pattern continued across the ceiling and down the opposite wall so that the other side of the room had upside down roses.

You might feel you’re rubbish at it, but those of us on the other side of the table really appreciate the effort you put into it. Time we met for lunch.

But anything Maggie O’Farrell writes is perfection.

I concur. The characters are perfect and we all recognise them.

Me neither. They never wash as well as pure cotton or linen (& “ironing-time” is my perfect alone time when I listen to podcasts.)

Apparently states’ rights stop the moment women board a plane with autonomy in their carry-on.

When you vote for the arsonist, don’t act surprised when he burns down your neighbor’s house.

I’m using the prohibition on wearing poly-cotton shirts to shame people who claim to be “Bible-based Christians”!

Suspect it’s because home is abou 12 minutes from the airport (& local taxi firm must only be about 4 mins further).

My local taxi firm asks to be rung once you’re through bag-reclaim. I have no idea how they do it, but their timing is perfect every time: they arrive just as I walk into the pick up area.

Helpful. I’ve stumbled up too many paths in the gloom, while trying to read a minuscule number on the door, only to realise it’s the wrong house just as the porch lights go on and the front door is thrown open revealing a scowling man.

Having pottered in the garden* for a bit, I am now listening to Cornershop and tidying up the last of the chocolate spread**.
*I know newborn baby's head is officially The Best Smell, but new tomato plants deserve an honourable mention.
