Jup- mediji nekritiski atkārto T paziņojumus ir milzīga problēma.
Papildus skaidrojumi:

“Superpower Suicide” is a concept to help understand the approach of the Trump regime to the rest of the world. We are fighting a war for no reason we can name, losing it, and covering our defeat with genocidal and apocalyptic propaganda.

Kā racionāli ASV ārpolitikas veidotāji varētu mēģināt tikt ārā no kara?
Force Iran to choose: economy or nukes; blockade and isolation or sanctions relief and normalization; independent Lebanon without Hezbollah or Lebanon with Iranian meddling (and Israeli invasions)...

Skat, skat... Mūsu nacionāļu lielākais elks Orbāns ir Kremļa marionete...
Cik absolūti neparedzams notikumu pavērsiens. 🙄
Irony is strong with this one :)
Impossible to disagree with a single word that Ben Rhodes (Obama era NSC official) is saying here:
Trump was deeply impressed by an
Israeli presentation that portrayed regime change as easy, Iranian capabilities as weak, and Iranian inability to choke the Strait of Hormuz.
US intel described the presentation as farcical, but Trump dismissed the US intel.

Fantastic, timely read from @atrupar.com & @thorbenson.bsky.social. Mark Jacob on the press:
“They don’t know how to react when Donald Trump says or does something that’s mentally deranged. Too often, they try to fit it into a rational frame of reference even though it’s irrational.”

EU declining to help in Hormuz "isn’t cowardice. It’s a calculation: If allied leaders thought that their sacrifice might count for something, they might choose differently. they understand that any contribution will count for nothing. A few weeks later, Trump will not even remember that it happened
Mūsu konservatīvie caur Ungāriju arī Ru naratīvus ar sajūsmu pārņēma Un izplatīja tālāk.
Why does Trump want to increase the defense budget by almost 50%? Because he sees it as a payoff to the guys who will help him establish his dictatorship of convenience.
We are seven months away from the most consequential midterm election in US history. Meanwhile, we are fighting a war. These are the structural conditions for a coup attempt in which a president tries to nullify elections and take permanent power as a dictator.

Tramps demokrātijas iznīcināšanas tempā vienā gadā izdarīja straujāku kaitējumu nekā Orbāns un Putins 5os 😬

Must read.
A military strategy guy writes: “There is a frequent mistake, often from folks who deal in economics, to assume that countries will give up on wars when the economics turn bad.“
"This is, on paper, a reasonable military objective in the same way that sticking your hand into a beehive is a reasonable way to acquire honey. It is technically correct. The bees would disagree."
1/2. He took the greatest military force in history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, & demanded the media lie about this & everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone mistakes this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength.
Trump: "It's a little unfair. You win a war, but they have no right to be doing what they're doing."
Nevajag lepoties ar to ka nepatērē medijus vai nemāki Googlet 😅
Did Trump put Steve and Jared, all-purpose diplomats in front of the room to assure everyone that everything would be fine?
Was there no objection from the military? Have they drunk the Trump Kool-aid?
Did Trump throw a tantrum when anyone disagreed?
I just don't get this.

The political effects of X's feed algorithm https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-026-10098-2 Received: 16 December 2024 Accepted: 4 January 2026 Published online: 18 February 2026 Open access • Check for updates Germain Gauthier,5, Roland Hodler?5, Philine Widmer35 & Ekaterina Zhuravskaya3,4,5 m Feed algorithms are widely suspected to influence political attitudes. However, previous evidence from switching off the algorithm on Meta platforms found no political effects'. Here we present results from a 2023 field experiment on Elon Musk's platform X shedding light on this puzzle. We assigned active US-based users randomly to either an algorithmic or a chronological feed for 7 weeks, measuring political attitudes and online behaviour. Switching from a chronological to an algorithmic feed increased engagement and shifted political opinion towards more conservative positions, particularly regarding policy priorities, perceptions of criminal investigations into Donald Trump and views on the war in Ukraine. In contrast, switching from the algorithmic to the chronological feed had no comparable effects. Neither switching the algorithm on nor switching it off significantly affected affective polarization or self-reported partisanship. To investigate the mechanism, we analysed users' feed content and behaviour. We found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and demotes posts by traditional media. Exposure to algorithmic content leads users to follow conservative political activist accounts, which they continue to follow even after switching off the algorithm, helping explain the asymmetry in effects. These results suggest that initial exposure to X's algorithm has persistent effects on users' current political attitudes and account-following behaviour, even in the absence of a detectable effect on partisanship.
A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitter’s algorithmic feed significantly shifts people’s political views to the right.
Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement.
This is one of the most concerning papers I’ve read in awhile.
Nav TIK slikti.
