The Daily Caller on Threads:

OPINION: We should do more than just require ID to vote. The Save Act is the least we should do. It’s rookie numbers. We should do far more. Way fewer people should be allowed to vote. Americans must meet two of three criteria to vote:

1. Be a net contributor to tax revenue
2. Own property
3. Be married with children…

There’s also a graphic that says “in a fairer world 150 million Americans wouldn’t be allowed to vote.”

The mask is completely off. You can’t meet these people in the middle. We’re not working toward the same goals.

They hate America. They hate democracy. They hate freedom.

And they hate you.

M1, 2020 (16GB/512GB) used just shy of 5 years as a primary work machine for software development. Never an issue that restarting didn't fix. Just recently beginning to very occasionally hiccup with heavier workloads under newer software, which isn't unexpected. Zero hindrance to productivity.

a cartoon of snoopy standing next to a lake with mountains in the background Alt: The cartoon character Snoopy is seen with an exasperated expression on his face, hunched over and apparently dejected, walking to a large rock and sitting down on it. The setting for the scene is beside an alpine lake in the mountains, Snoopy wearing a backpack and a knit cap (AKA beanie), however the context is incidental and unrelated to GIF's intended usage in this case.

Bold of you to presume Joe Rogan has learned anything, ever.

About a year or so ago I started framing any user-hostile design in cold, concrete terms by stating "We're [company name] and we hate you." (Out loud as much as possible.)

So, YouTube plays 3 seconds of a video on my TV then paused it to prompt for a login? "We're YouTube and we hate you."

Don't worry everybody, there's a 22 yo in charge of counter terrorism and Kash Patel fired most of the experts in Iranian militant groups.

Most rage-bait is ALSO psychopathic at this point.

A willingness to engage in such behavior in order to rise above the noise is not the hallmark of a sound mind.

Dan Koh: In the last year, this leader tried to take sovereign land unilaterally, use the justice system to jail enemies, & actively shut down independent media voices

That was Vladimir Putin—the fact that so many ppl thought I was describing Trump right now shows how much our democracy is at risk

Probably worth at least having a mental backup plan since—which I’m sure you’re aware—Google is notoriously, *infamously* consumer-antagonistic in handling of legacy products. (Or even just things they’ve gotten bored of.)

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

What’s so weird about men in power is how when they face scandal and should step down the world acts like no one else can do their jobs. Bottstein, Wasserman, these aren’t irreplaceable men! Stop with this delusion.

Ireland’s basic income for the arts scheme becomes permanent When piloted, initiative that provided €325 a week to eligible artists recouped more than its net cost, study shows

Gee, Universal Basic Income recoups more than it costs AND the recipients are happier and healthier.

Hmmm. Where have I seen those results before? Oh yes, in every other goddam pilot study of UBI for more than a decade. Ireland joins Finland in at least making a start.

ICE to begin detaining immigrants inside Social Circle warehouse in April Homeland Security plans to build warehouse detention facilities in other cities being met with opposition.

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

It’s unfortunate that the cost of proving how broken things are is so high.

I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.
