30 years ago today, Principal Skinner purchased fast food to disguise as his own cooking at an unforgettable luncheon with Superintendent Chalmers.

The new VERY hagriographic Michael Jackson biopic starring MJ's nephew is out at the end of the month. But back in 2004 an unauthorised and EQUALLY flattering biopic was made in Canada. Here is a clip and I promise you have NO idea where it's going. I haven't done a single edit here.
If we get *really* pedantic and clutch at straws, we can argue we finished this season 5th - Man Utd’s final game was postponed for two days, which is when they leapt back ahead of us in the table.
So when our season finished, we were fifth…
Perversely, the Irish Passport office in London is on Cromwell Road.
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
More context on this #Artemis II image:
* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right
* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:

A replica of Thomas the Tank Engine being transported on a large flatbed truck. It’s strapped down in multiple places and the face portion is covered by a large black bag

Interestingly, The Guardian/Observer (as it was) also gave the first film a single star.
Whilst it was certainly no Citizen Kane, it was an enjoyable family movie that I’ve happily watched a few times.
Makes me think perhaps I need not concern myself with the reviews that wilfully miss the point
The western gable of a ruined medieval priory church in County Louth, part of the stone tracery of the window has been dislodged and appears in imminent danger of collapse

I was visiting monuments in County Louth for an upcoming itinerary for @tuatha.ie.
When I visited St Mary's Augustinian Priory, I noticed this piece of the medieval window just about hanging on by its fingertips!
If it doesn't get attention soon, I fear this gable won't be long for this world 😱
It’s a place a know well. Although more attention has been paid to it in recent years, I can’t say it’s ever been given much TLC - certainly in my lifetime.

I’ve stolen this from someone on Twitter - it’s too good not to share here. Jessica Simpson was taught acting by Chuck Norris. And if you think for a moment that you can guess what that involved, you are very, very wrong.
I have to say, the block feature on BlueSky is superlative.
An anonymous, annoying and quite frankly outrageously entitled person has just vanished from all existence.
Bliss.
Welsh Mafia. Big Wales. Glob-ryu.
Don’t say sorry!!
I get what you mean, but he was too good for the England team, surely? Wright hits the sweet spot of being incredibly talented AND underrated AND a seemingly top person as well.
This is basically “yeah great person, but did they do too well for their sporting endeavours for us to like them?”
Mick is very much a spudbaby as Darach defines, and proudly so!
Also, very much worth considering why you got so animated about an asinine response posted by a woman.
It’s okay to get angry - just get angry about the right things.
This wasn’t one of them.
Unfortunately, I’m a middle-aged man so an at attempt at blaming your mistakes to my perceived emotional response isn’t really going to work, but bless you for trying.
Just put your phone down, go away and consider how and why you interact with people you don’t know on the internet.
Just accept you’ve been rude and inappropriate. Ideally apologise for being rude to someone who didn’t deserve it because you interpreted their post in a narrow way.
Or, continue to be belligerent and ignorant and tell someone (whose comments had nothing to do with you) to “watch football”.
An opinion is being expressed on a fun and inconsequential matter.
Wind your neck in and leave people alone.
Similarly, showing Ugo Monye texting his mates on TV instead of explaining to the people why a scrum has been awarded.
I’ve ruminated (as a spudbaby) and surely Ian Wright is the answer. The man has no faults and exists only to make the world better for the rest of us.*
*Now that he doesn’t score goals against everyone.
“It’s okay. We’re different.”
If only someone could’ve predicted white and white-with-a-touch-of-blue would’ve been a bad combination.
Forcing Ireland and Wales to wear jerseys that didn’t make life hard for people with colour blindness was the right thing to do.
So with that in mind, who the absolute fuck thought this combination was acceptable? #fraeng #fraang
Red smoke from a crowd of football fans with one standing up with two flares in his hands. A caption reads “Dundalk will never die, but you will”
The wife and kids are away so I’m using my time wisely and productively - by watching Dundalk v Drogheda. #cmondatown
I feel seen.
