Page 3: “when you’re out there, beeline to the water. Don’t stop. Don’t be a hero. Godspeed.” The helmet turtle kicks baby green turtle out the hole off a cliff onto the beach below.
Page 4: baby green turtle lands on the sand. The distance between him and the water is quite large. Another baby sea turtle is being devoured by a seagull and is screaming for help.

Three panel comic. (SPOILERS for the movie Arrival, but it’s like a decade old at this point so personally I think it’s chill.) Panel 1: the aliens from arrival are communicating in their circle writing language to Amy Adams’ character. Panel 2: Amy Adams is back with the other humans, standing in front of a whiteboard, and frantically trying to explain the meaning of their language, connecting their symbols to words like “WAR”, “HUMAN”, “PURPOSE”, etc. Panel 3: the aliens are hanging out drinking brews and one of them is like, “and then I drew a circle with a bunch of squiggles!” His buddies are cracking up.

p1: Jeanie and Summer are walking through a video store. Jeanie: Gosh, isn’t it neat that our town still has a video store? It feels just like it did when we were kids. Summer: For sure, but it’s a little sad that it was the franchise one that survived. You remember Super Great Videobestest? p2: Summer begins browsing one of the shelves. J: …Oh yeah, the little one attached to the hardware store! If you rented three tapes they gave you a can of acetone for free. S: The main thing I remember was just how different their selection felt… most of their stock was a little older, so it was like peeking into a just-missed past. p3: She looks at a tape in her hands, titled “The Muppets Do Nothing” and featuring a weird little autumnal puppet on the cover. S: Picking up episodes of a cartoon that was way after your parents time but just before yours… nobody could tell you what to expect from it, good or bad. You had to decide for yourself what looked interesting, free from the burden of knowing what discontinued toy line it spun off from. Or Jim Carrey movie. Tough either way p4: Jeanie spaces out a little while Summer smiles at her. J: My mom had to approve anything I wanted to rent, so for me most roads led to musicals about dental hygiene. S: I’ve always thought you have very nice teeth

An onlooker is sitting with his little dog on a park bench. He turns to the boy and says, “isn’t that, like, bad for the environment?”

Panel 3: the two friends at the table are dumbfounded to see Derek successfully attracted this woman, and they are leaving the bar together.
