Finally finished. A bit ugly on the backside, but who cares since it looks cool on the front!

DDR4 price two years ago vs today. It's not even DDR5
Who would’ve thought that buying 64GB of RAM on discount in 2023 will turn out as such a good investment in 2025.
Like it wasn’t enough with Arch, turned out I quite enjoy watching anime. Best thing is that I have two great advisers (12 and 17 yo) so I’ll never have to think about what to watch next.
Hot take from a random dude on the internet: when someone promotes their own social media with someone else’s art, they should at least attribute the authors
26 days since moved to #Arch #Linux, not sure it is even legal provided I’m a married straight man with children 😂
The beauty of text
A new version of the project "Home kiosk" is done! Currently running in the test mode. Pictures show v1.0 and v2.0 Transitioned from Raspberry Pi Pico 2W to Zero 2W running Linux. Output is a framebuffer on top of CLI, UI backend is based on Pillow. Wrote a small UI library, might put it on GitHub.
Google maps are freaking insane
Cleaned my keyboard. Before/after.
Five days on Ubuntu as main daily system. So far so good 👍
This post marks the end of windows era for me
Speaking about the digits, I just went a little bit crazy and this is how I generate them 😅
Major change in the design! Now using Raspi Pico W and 4 x SSD1306 OLED displays (128*32). I like the vibe of the OLED display, and look at those digits!
It runs on MicroPython now while still experimenting with digits design, but the plan is to jump back to PIO and Pico without wireless support.
The only downside of self hosted Bluesky identity provider is when your home network goes down, you can't use it
Next up is to make it "cheaper" and run on Raspberry Pi Pico.
It shows time and has two buttons to set time manually. The initial idea was to make it "smart" with going online and use NTP and RTC and other stuff, but it was kinda fun to make it completely "mechanical" too so it only relies on millis(). I like the idea of "non-connected" electronics in general.
Started this small project to utilize two ST7735 displays connected to a single ESP32-S3 board. Might end up with some sort of Nixie clock. Need to buy two small glass jars for displays.
Gonna use this to dump my hobby projects.
