I’m a year in from starting my own lab and have yet to come up with a good lab name. Feels like so much pressure!

There comes a point where you start being able to give your former supervisors/mentors some good advice and wow, that’s really lovely.

I bought this teeny, adorable poinsettia today in hopes that it can do some very heavy lifting this holiday. So far, it’s delightful.

You get the start up. You spend the first month ordering ALL THE THINGS. And the next 3-5 months waiting for all the things to be delivered I guess.

Come work with me :) I’m recruiting a post-doc to collaborate on a funded coral population genomics project! Flexibility to develop additional projects in marine ecol-evol. (Deets: 2yr contract with possible extension, start within next ~6 months, good pay/benefits/work-life balance.)
