We need at least 25 tickets sold for this event to go ahead, so all reposts are very much appreciated! Better yet, come along!

This is because moths are evil.
Proof? Not necessary. It’s unquestionably true.

My last library haul has been great - loved ‘Awake in the Floating City’ by Susanna Kwan. Now onto ‘Witchcraft for Wayward Girls’ by Grant Hendrix. Knew nothing about it and have been drawn in and feel like it’s just about to kick off…

Yes! Surprised and chuffed - even if there was a good amount of fortune with woodwork possible pens!
Heaven has real potential and Mainoo was immense.

Ha! Oh god…
Although to be fair, when I was as a teen, being close to Notts was main selling point of Leicester! Did it seem more exciting when you were here? Students used to have a different view I noticed.

So a bit like the Bilboa rule of only players from that area can play for them but this is you have to have the name of your team? I like it. Also makes it much easier to narrow down your transfer targets.

@findenlake.bsky.social Do you follow Ross County? I think you should. We could have a league of people and their name teams. We must know a Peter for Peterhead? A Steve for Stevenage? Dumbarton - I mean, I can think of one dumb Barton…

‘Awake in the Floating City’ by Susanna Kwan is set about 25 years into the future where the climate has changed and San Francisco is flooded. People - those left - have shaped new lives moving from roof garden to roof market. Loved it.

If you want one of those stories that draws you in, creates a vivid world with such detail you live it, and then populates it with rich characters that delve into personal stories that feel universal and slowly winds up your emotions…

The books were great and I was so pleased the TV show delivered.

I genuinely don’t understand how actual genuine newspapers and magazines can indulge such a crank.

Britain is sliding into facist rule and the world is falling apart…

This is part eco/dystopian thriller and part folk horror/myth.

Anyone fancy both of these? @pancakeone.bsky.social sent them to me and I’d like to post them on and see how far they might go if they keep getting passed on!

I just couldn’t get into it at all - I can go with nothing happening for a while but the style of writing wasn’t working for me. I’ll try again when I can do like a whole day reading it!
