Sweet! Let me know what he thinks and what you think! I've had my eye on that one and haven't played it myself.

Lego City Undercover, solid game some adults enjoy even more than GTA
Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip - Absurdist, silly mini-take on genre
Jack 2 (If you have PlayStation) - t rated gta clone, 3d-platformer-turned-city-sandbox-game
NTE - comes out 29th, anime gta (t rated but may have shapely girl designs)
This is a good heads up for me when my new son grows up!
I assume all his friends play it? I can think of some alternatives but I'd recommend finding out what interests him about it. The open sandbox nature of it? Or do his friends play online together?
Here are my recommendations: (1/2)
I've hinted at it so much there's no point in keeping it under wraps any longer.
For the longest time, I've been working on a way to port GB games to the GBA.
What I ended up building is a modified GB to GBA emulator that targets a fantasy console instead - I call it the GB Bridge.
If you enjoyed our last game Crow Country, will you enjoy The Mermaid Mask?
There's a good chance, yeah!
Different genre, sure, but @sfbdim.bsky.social wrote/directed/designed both, so I think you'll see some of the same sensibilities shining through.
Makes sense! I remember thinking that the voice acting for SotS was some of the strongest I had heard for a mobile game up to that point -- and this is coming from someone who regularly works with professional VA's (including the VA for Professor Layton). Well done on the casting!
Even if there's not an in-universe reason, what led to Sally becoming a co-protagonist? It was a pleasant surprise for me, as she was my favorite character from SotS
There's nothing like a solid 3D platformer β especially one that lets you play as a frog and break the game in unexpected ways. This is our review for Big Hops, which is available now on all major platforms!

Special thanks to @luckshotgames.com for the review code!
I'm sorry to hear that. It's my dream to do a big cabin trip and play board games all day for several days, I hope you are able to fully do that someday!
Woah dang!!! One of my favorite games on a phone, that's wild! Do I double dip? π€
Sea of Stars is coming to mobile on April 7th!
One low price, no ads, and no microtransactions.
We look forward to our little adventure meeting new players everywhere! A huge thanks to @Playdigious for this adaptation.
A Short Hike is part of a new Steam bundle celebrating the launch of Big Hops! The 3D platforming is top notch, the game looks and feels great! Check it out with these other amazing games: πΈππ¦πΈ
Oh nooo you did the same thing as me and got the cartridge wrong! You gotta shift the top piece slightly to the left. It's in the instructions but we all misread it.
In case you missed it, BIG HOPS is coming out January 12th on Steam, Switch, and PS5! #indiegames #nintendoswitch #ps5
Our top games of the year! Number 1 may shock you.... (actually it probably won't)

Have you heard of "A Place For All My Books?" I just played it for the first time yesterday and I feel like you'd enjoy it. Crunchy enough to want to sink your teeth in and try to optimize every turn, but accessible enough to bring to a family crowd who only plays light-to-medium complexity games.
Six-player Fit to Print! The real-time element makes for a lot of fun with cousins. Weβll have to cover this on the podcast soon.
everyone should checkout Messenger by Abeto. it's a free browser game where ur just a little delivery kid on a little planet!

I don't outright disagree, I think when done intentionally it can achieve what you are suggesting. I just prefer freer exploration over punishment.
Closest I've been on giving up on this game, for sure
In the "Amnesia Fortnight" movie Double Fine did, one of the groups made a prototype where you slowly have to lose all of your divine powers in order to become mortal and reach the end. Cool concept, not quite as fun as it sounds, but maybe still worth exploring?
It's our 100th episode! Thank you all for your wonderful support -- it's been such a fun time. We hope you enjoy this 1-hour finale (of sorts), we made it for you!

Really love that one, some nice puzzles that never felt too overwhelming for me.
Can't wait for you to reach party house! It is THE board game everyone talks about in UFO 50.
I just noticed this while playing! Such a fun mini game, definitely an idea worth revisiting or repurposing!
Delightful!! Can't wait :)
Also, here's a scene from another game I've been working on ποΈ #gamedev
Sad it won't happen, but what you have here is still really lovely and impressive!! Thank you for sharing it publicly!
Back in 2018, I was working on an RPG inspired by the Paper Mario series. I don't think I'll end up finishing this game, but I figured I could share the demo that I had put together anyway. #gamedev
Blog post and demo here! π½
