just an fyi, three days after two anarchists died in rome trying to build an explosive device, some anonymous people sabotaged this electrical pylon in udine (northern italy), cutting power to oil pipeline pumps. the italian state tried to hush up this sabotage, as did the pipeline owner.

11 local bookshops organized an event called the Book Crawl All you do is go to each one with your "passport" and get a stamp. You then get entered into a prize drawing
It's not required, but I made it a goal to buy at least one book from each shop. Here's my loot so far!

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
Anyone know whether today is a ‘ceasefire’ day or a ‘destroy your civilisation’ day yet?
Gonna spend the next two years spamming every elected Dem about the concept of "damnatio memoriae." Chisel his name off every inscription. Build over the various Trump Towers like they're Nero's Golden House. Remove him from physical memory, not to forget but as a sign of disrespect to the man.
A person that would not be allowed to work in a kindergarten room, and they want to keep him out of the command room…?
Searing opinion from a federal judge on Long Island, who describes "police state"-like tactics by ICE to arrest peopleand draw up after-the-fact warrants.

Earlier this morning, eight children between the ages of one and fourteen were killed during a mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Kids deserve to feel safe in their communities. We will continue to honor all the lives lost by working to pass gun safety laws.

If journalists had any integrity and courage, they would boycott the White House Correspondents Dinner. It should be as empty as a TPUSA event.

In its tech and in its eugenics, Silicon Valley has such a sad mechanical notion of what intelligence is, one bereft of moral beauty, emotional intelligence, intuition, etc. But in a more meaningful definition of intelligence the titans of industry would discover their own bereftness and dimness.
At this point, I'm beginning to think we'd all be much better off if the only thing computers could do was word processing.
