CBS turned their news operation into propaganda, kicked Colbert off the air for making too much trouble, and all that just to have Charles Barkley go on the air on one of their most-watched telecasts of the year and say this lmao

"The way some of these other immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace... I think what’s going on in our country — what we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants, is really unfortunate and it’s really sad." - Charles Barkley on CBS

This is the second account - the first being in Chicago - of DHS agents mass detaining people and then *sorting them by race*.
US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:
"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."

Momentary respite from my demoralization over the Packers remembering the hardest line in all of rap (“I saw Ditka once on the Edens in a sports car”).
Bears fans preparing to riot but the stadium puts Serengeti's "Dennehy" on the PA and they all calm down instantly and begin milling about harmlessly. "Keep the juice in your chops," they mutter to each other, absently if still somewhat warmly. "Keep the juice in your brats."
"It's shameful that the government can come out and lie about what happened when there's video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying."
Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked about the ICE shooting in Minneapolis. Here are his full comments:
"a single person of this demographic may have committed a crime, therefore we must punish the entire demographic" is a policy response you may recognize from fascist governments dedicated to ethnic cleansing elsewhere.

An album of glorious tracks that somehow get better with every listen (also, a neat lil working out hack is to throw on B.O.B., allowing you to lift a Mack truck while running a sub-4 min mile).
Imagine thinking Jordan Love isn’t a great quarterback. Couldn’t be me!

The most important news story in the country is happening in Chicago right now with the ongoing Trump deportation raids.
ICE is running around Chicago harassing people for not being white.
Just a year ago, that was illegal in the United States and now it’s commonplace.
That’s not making America great again.
Werner Herzog voice:
“I’ve seen movies, short films, completely created by artificial intelligence. Story, acting, everything. They look completely dead. They are stories, but they have no soul…They are empty and soulless.”
i say this about once every six months but that final A Tribe Called Quest record is truly extraordinary. could make a legitimate case that it is their best record, which by default makes it one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time
if i had the opportunity to ask a question of anyone in the administration, given this "war in chicago" messaging, i would ask them how many americans the president intends to kill in his war
I'm not going to vote for a transphobe. This isn't a "strategy," this is just reality. If people so desperately want my vote for whatever reason, they need to nominate a good candidate.
my solution to the question of “how to dress as a millennial man” is to dress like i am perpetually in attendance at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival www.gq.com/story/bring-...
I might well be the last American to see it in a movie theater but I was really blown away by 28 Years Later. Not perfect, but I respect that it's such a big swing in so many ways and as with the previous films in the series there were moments where I found it unaccountably moving. A Real Movie.
this reminds me of the period in american politics when pundits would demand that any black politician of note — really, any black person in politics with a national audience — “condemn farrakhan”
