Hundreds of people packed the town hall last night in Sioux Falls to voice their concerns about what is happening in Washington DC including cuts to Education, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

The refusal to provide people due process before shipping them off to foreign prisons is criminal and intolerable. It must not be normalized. Everyone who believes in justice and America needs to speak up now.

My congressman,Sam Graves, hasn’t had a townhall since 2012.

-Our current Chair and Vice Chairs, Erina Prom and Keith Block, have committed to run for reelection.

-However any person currently registered as a Democrat in Senate District 14 is eligible to run for district Chair or Vice Chair. The two offices should be held by people of different genders.

-While this will be an open meeting for all D14 Dems to attend, only currently serving or appointed precinct committee people and candidates from the 2024 election who reside within the district will be eligible to vote so long as they were approved no later than March 17th, 2025.
