I think the next thing on my bucket list is watching them gasp when they meet Mickey Mouse, or see a rainbow over the ocean.
Anyway. Happy birthday to me. I hope you stop dreading getting older and instead feel how lucky, how lucky are we to pass time together on this Earth.
But also: I just cannot wait until my children grow enough so I can share my love of seeing the world with them. I can’t wait. And I’ll never take for granted being able to be there to see their eyes get wide with wonder.
Seeing Machu Picchu was on my bucket list. Wondered: What am I waiting for? No more waiting. You never know when you won’t have any more time to wait. What did I learn, this time? This place, this experience, was absolutely breathtaking. More, please.
