None of these systems is inherently best or worst. Each is powerful and essential in its own way. The key is to match the tool to the situation and constraints; choosing the right tool for the right problem is where engineering judgment and real wisdom show.

MySQL lacks multi-master replication, so I tried MariaDB—yet the daemon crashed when two writes targeted the same row; with Postgres, crafting complex queries sometimes demanded extra effort.

From hands-on experience, each platform has its quirks: Firebase can be hard to build on Linux; Supabase makes debugging Edge functions straightforward but changing OTP length from six to eight digits is awkward.

We work with Redis/Valkey through Keyscope, so you might assume we have little interest in relational DBs. In reality, when building a service we evaluate all options and often need RDBs for specific needs. Architecture choices are made by weighing trade-offs and practical needs.

We use a viewport approach: only visible keys update in real-time. Scrolling adapts dynamically. We can expand this scope if needed. There are still challenges ahead, so we'll keep improving. I’ll share a quick demo or screenshots before 1.0.0 drops. P.S. Followed back! Let's support each other!

Over the past two weeks we’ve been catching up with a rapid burst of TypeRedis development. Starting with JSON command support in v2.5.0, TypeRedis added a lot of commands up through v3.6.0 — transactions, hash, list, string, set, sorted set, and bitmap.

2 months ago 0 0 1 0

Quick update: we planned to release Keyscope v0.6.0 right after v0.5.0, but it took two weeks to fold in the rapid updates from TypeRedis, Keyscope's core library.

Now it's Keyscope's turn to move fast; v0.6.0 will be released this week. Thanks for your patience.
