I ended up packing my drawing ipad tablet ~somewhere~ and.. havnt found it.. 😭

Im trying to suffice with crocheting, or rando paper doodles.

Otherwise book reading, Pokemon Shield, Fartnight, and Stardew Valley kinda have me in a slight chokehold.

Im still here, just have been a bit focused on self care cuz instead of "creative burnout" I encountered "overwork burnout"

Since the renovations took a long time, then MotherBean and I doing the last touches, then the move, then trying to unpack/sort/organize/purge....

Yeh im.. overwhelmed...

Ive got one more bag after all this...
But i seemed to have run out of vegetable oil...so that last one will have to wait for another day.

MotherBean gifted me some bread machine bread mixes and Ive been on a slight bread baking rampage yesterday and today.

1 is yummy, its almost gone.

2 was a bit stinky so we are feeding it to the local birds.

3 smells good its ready to eat. (Is the pic)

4 is cooling rn.

5 is in machine.

Today is Diamonds 16th birthday!
(Thats about 84 in human years)
Im so happy that shes been in my life for this long.
I know I met her when I was just starting college, and she was already 1, and already had kittens too!
She will always be my bebé. 💚

They only chime if I allow it and the weather is acceptable.

Im still trying to be okay.

With everything thats happened.. leading up to now, my mentality is doing its best to repair itself and I still havnt had the time to properly give myself rest and a break.

MotherBean can see im overwhelmed, and shes trying to help prevent me from working too much.

Also I will never get used to Mittens being a cuddle bug.

Ive never had a cat that enjoys cuddles, or being on my lap.

Im glad she loves us.

(Just bringing up for those that worry: my girls are indoors only. I wouldnt mind bringing them outside, but only with leash+harness+supervision. Besides Diamond cant go outside anyway cuz she will puke grass)

We think Mittens has some ptsd from moving too often in her short little life.
Shes not even 5 and shes moved 4x total now.
This was Diamonds 4th move too, but shes almost 16.

Mittens also has never encountered the ability before to look out a lot of windows, or open doors with screens.

I slightly forgot to post that we officially moved as of sometime last week.

Its been kinda weird officially living in the new house.
We love how the heater likes to make itself known. (Sounds like a jet plane taking off ✈️)

Diamond took to the new place almost instantly.
Mittens is still learning.

Its like sitting down for a 10 course meal, and im near the end trying to hold it all in.... 🤢

Im absolutely shattered and Im trying my absolute best to hang on mentally.

I have no creative outlet, and havnt for a good 3 weeks.

Even the internet is gone.

I feel burnt out from trying to get this move finished.

No we havnt moved officially yet, but a lot of stuff has been moved over to the new house.

We should be officially moved before the end of March.

Ks done with the majority of internal work rn, so we are taking a break working with him until dryer weather.

MotherBean and I have been doing detail work and cleaning.
Like cleaning minor spots the paint slipped through, fixing scratches, wiping down surfaces.

Yes we have been working in the cold for the last 10 weeks here.
Each of us pretty much brought a space heater to help warm us up.

My room got its fan + light.

Buns room got painted and light put in.

First bathroom is almost done.

My girls always check on me for several reasons.
Crying mostly.
But the other ive noticed is when my blood pressure is too high. (Found this out during a workout session. Diamond tried to trip me. 💀)

I feel im already there. 😊🙃

Theres something about a kitty snuggling under the blanket for warmth, or a kitty coming and pestering for affection and having those sweet serene moments.

Didnt like the direction it was going, thats been fixed now.

New toilets have been put in. New vanity in first bathroom. (Same vanity I mentioned that Mother Bean and I got into the house ourselves with no tools or help.)
My bathroom has better shower walls.
