At 3:21 AM Sunday, Michelle Ferreri resumed her smear campaign, launched during her failed re-election bid via her inner circle of supports, against our MP, a domestic violence survivor. Ferreri & her current partner are adulterers, blew up 2 marriages & she's still engaged to the guy, 4 yrs later.
Nowhere in Kawartha Land Trust's press release do they state they are opposed to Alto. Nor does the Global News reporter state this. But Michelle Ferreri does, lying again.
This is what has struck me most and thrilled me most in the 50+ year span between these 2 photos, #NASA & #ArtemisII.

DEI has been made controversial by corp & political interests, & it may be past its prime but it worked to change attitudes & laws, signaled to 11yo girls that we could aspire & be supported to more, increase control over our own bodies & lives. Mostly? It forced pathways open to their aspiration.
I wanted to talk to them abt DEI, feminism, equal rights & what these gave the world. As an 11 yo white girl, all that seemed open to me was caregiving/supporting roles: nurse, teacher, secretary, homemaker. Even less was open to ppl of colour, even less than that to my mother's generation.
With y'day's threat of nuclear annihilation coupled with the whiplash of aspirational science, I phoned both our kids last night to commiserate, to share our love, to lift.
I was 11 at the time of this photo. There's 1 woman, no people of colour. Many tho, in back rooms, in crucial roles.

100s of us can also attest that the No More MP Ferreri campaign was not "headed by a man and supported by women", her off-hand insult as usual. A man indeed stepped up to be the sign distribution point, but I can assure you, a woman got this successful campaign off the ground.
