Touch Me is a surreal, unapologetic horror exploring trauma, addiction, and codependency, and an unconventional polyamorous relationship involving an alien. Not for everyone, but its bold visuals make it a unique ride. Addison Heimann builds on Hypochondriac here , which I loved btw✌🏾

Undertone is a cleverly crafted, slow burn horror where a paranormal podcaster is haunted by chilling recordings. The grief heavy build occasionally lingers, but the mounting tension grips throughout, with one hell of a climax, that final sequence did not hold back

My Father’s Shadow is a phenomenallly moving, vibrant, and beautifully acted film. Set during Nigeria’s 1993 election crisis, it follows two brothers exploring Lagos with their estranged father, capturing family, sacrifice, and identity. A stunning debut from Akinola Davies Jr.

Thrash: A small town, cat 5 hurricane, sharks and various human dilemmas... standard set up that had potential, but if you're gonna tease a killer sharks in a disaster survival movie, then use them more prominently in the movie. Not enough bite with this one🤷🏾

Pretty Lethal was fun! When a troupe of ballerinas gets stranded at a remote inn on the way to a competition, they must fight for survival. Ballet moves into fight sequences and (from what my daughter who does ballet tells me) a chaîné into a knife attack. Forget the plot, enjoy the cringe mayhem

They Will Kill You: Kill Bill meets Ready Or Not, meets Evil Dead, meets The Villainess...it puts the plot to one side and just goes for it from the off. Some truly outlandish kills too

It did zip along for a film that was steeped in suspense and build up

Ticking off classic horror films I never got round to seeing...The Fog! I waited far too long to watch it. The sound and atmosphere are incredible, building real dread and anticipation. I loved the slow buildup and how the town’s backstory gradually unfolds. A perfect balance of terror and suspense

Project Hail Mary is incredible! Powerful storytelling about a lonely astronaut trying to save Earth. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation and you make it work. If you're lucky you'll find something to keep you going. Rocky is the ultimate alien buddy

The Good Boy: Brutally human, twisted psychological thriller about unconventional therapy and warped morality. Funny and oddly heartfelt. Stephen Graham is great, as are Andrea Riseborough and Anson Boon. Surprising turns, sharp script and an advert for men to go to therapy

Bodycam is a brilliantly tense found-footage horror where a routine call sends two officers into a spiral of tragedy and supernatural chaos. A simple idea executed brilliantly. The bodycam POV heightens the fear, paired with eerie visuals and unnerving sounds. Go check it on @shudder.com

Heading back to Glasgow again for this year's FrightFest Glasgow! Will be sampling some of the Glasgow Film. Festival as usual. Always a fun time in Glasgow 🙌🏾

Very cool watch. With previous efforts like King Of New York and Bad Lieutenant, another provocative one by Abel Ferrera. A very 18 rated Miami Vice. I don't blame Willem Dafoe either

Yeah this was fun...A lone wolf ends up in a small town, sees some bad shit go down and helps said people of a small town. We need Stephen Lang and Jorma Tommila (Sisu) to make a movie where they just sort out all the shit going on in the world!
