Johnny “Guitar” Watson: What The Hell Is This?
New to me. Flamboyant showman Johnny “Guitar” Watson unleashes nine tracks of electric blues mixed heartily with funk for one hell of a good time. He is wild and unbridled, sexually charged but not distasteful, commenting on unemployment,…(1/2)
Yessss! Please let me know what you think.
Apparently pictures aren’t uploading at the moment on this beautiful site? 🙄
…politics, not getting along with your mother-in-law, love and lust with a wink and a smile every step of the way. This album is a goddamned party. If you were to map the DNA of Andre 3000, there would surely be a branch of the family tree reserved for this album.(2/2)

RUBBERBAND MAN by the Spinners comes on.
ME: Remember how I used to wear rubber bands on my wrists when we worked at K-Mart? I was on register 21 & this guy came through my line to buy smokes & said, “Hey, rubberband man! You know that song?” I didn’t but downloaded it when I got home.
MY WIFE: …
My wife and I watching JOY RIDE this past weekend.
ME: We saw this in the theater when it first came out. Then I bought the DVD, and we had Lauren come over to watch it in my basement apartment. We sat on the couch, she sat on the floor. Afterwards, we watched the alternate ending.
MY WIFE: …
What’s it called when you can’t remember, like, state capitals or people’s names, but you can remember where you saw a movie 25 years ago and who you saw it with; or when a stranger introduced you to a song that was probably 30 years old at the time.
Because whatever that is, that’s what I’ve got.
Look at this pervert
I’ll have you know that Thawkin’ good content is all I have to offer!

…their best.As far as industrial goes, it’s pretty low-key—imagine industrial gone pop—& you don’t have to be a fan of the genre to find something to enjoy but I imagine it’s a pretty good gateway. 11 tracks of great, creative tunes that are fun, but the darkness always finds a way to creep in.(2/2)
Throbbing Gristle: 20 Jazz Funk Greats
Despite the title, this isn’t a compilation album, there aren’t 20 songs, and it isn’t jazz funk music. The 3rd studio album from these industrial godfathers is one of the few albums from the band that I was already familiar with & it is widely considered…(1/2)
What the hell is he smoking?

I’m listening to LOVE’S SO TOUGH by Iron City Houserockers (1979)
My commute to work is roughly one LOVE’S SO TOUGH long
Cover of Lois Lane #80 featuring Lois leaving Superman. An anonymous former owner altered Superman into a beatnik with beret, goatee, and glasses saying "Hey, baby, cool off"
Close-up of Beatnik Superman shows artistry
Zhinxy's account may have been mysteriously suspended, but we cannot let Superman Day pass without her cherished copy of Lois Lane #80. It was altered by a previous owner so that the iconic Curt Swan superman is a beatnik saying "Hey, baby, cool off!" She would save it in a fire.
