Chicken hat.
Zack Beauchamp (@zackbeauch ...) posted on X about a man, Alvarado, sent to a Salvadoran torture camp for having an autism awareness tattoo honoring his brother. Alvarado’s sister, Maria, said he has no ties to Tren de Aragua and taught swimming to kids with disabilities. Despite this, ICE detained him in February due to his tattoos, as they were targeting people with tattoos. Maria emphasized Alvarado’s good character, noting the family’s devastation over his unjust detention.
If you don’t think this administration is so incompetent or callous as not to do this, you haven’t been paying attention.
This is really depraved.
I’m sorry. I’m just going to say, FU DT and all you are doing.

As promised, slow your feed. Walk in nature. Admire happy birds.
Targeting the food for children and families is immoral.
Trump sees Putin and himself as a pair of mob bosses carving up geopolitical territory. On the pod, @saletan.bsky.social is really good in laying out the clear evidence of this. Check out these exchanges in the three screen caps below:

A 200% increase on the cost of wine is a quick way to get suburban women off the couch and into the fight.
Honestly still baffled by these people.
Americans: We’d like to afford basic necessities, keep vital programs, and not lose our retirement savings.
Trump: Best I can do is a car commercial for the richest man on Earth.
A screenshot of an X post by Nerdy Pursuit (@nerdypursuit ) posted on March 7, 2025. The post highlights the popularity of Pete Buttigieg's recent Colbert interview, noting that two of the three clips have already surpassed one million views on YouTube. The text mentions that it’s unusual for a guest interview to garner such views, based on scrolling through the YouTube channel. The post includes three thumbnail images of the interview clips: 1) "Fmr. Sec. People are hungry for the new voice of the Democratic Party.
$290 million buys you a White House produced car commercial and “violence” against your car brand labeled as domestic terrorism.
It’s not a democracy if you can buy sponsorship levels.

I have to say I kind of admire the restraint ProPublica showed with its understated headline.
At the same time, I must say that the headline that I would have written—
“SENATOR BANGS MILITARY LOBBYISTS”
—would have been clearer and gotten more clicks.
Just going to leave this here...
"Efficiency."
Pete Hegseth just reportedly ordered the US military’s Cyber Command to “stand down” from all planning against Russia. Analysts have been ordered not to follow or report on Russian threats.
One inside source said, “Putin is on the inside now.”
