Stoops was perfect for Kentucky because he had been around for so long. His career arc was always going to be non-traditional. UK needs a Cig guy who's been around. Knows how to run a program but is beyond the point where he's racing for the next payday.

Stein needs a high G5 or mid-top B12/ACC gig for a first job. You want to be getting 7+ win seasons consistently to set yourself up for a high SEC/B1G gig.

And why would Sumrall turn down the resources of Florida, LSU or maybe FSU for Kentucky.
