On April 1, a call to police said a dog was on a roof. It wasn’t a joke. “We thought we were getting pranked,” the Goshen police chief said.

More of the news we can use right now.

I would wear this proudly now - probably over my hip like a belt, but at a jaunty angle, like a charming, nerdy rogue. It would be filled with Bib Fortuna and Dengar figures. It would be glorious.

Art on Lark festival returns to Albany in June with live music, local art, food and more After a long hiatus, Albany’s Art on Lark festival returns to Lark Street on June 6 with a host of local artists, live music, and food.

One piece of nice news amid today's hellstorm of crazy. I loved Art on Lark back in the day, and I look forward to finding out if it can recapture that wonderful street fair magic.

So many people excited about Artemis II and here I am, worried that they'll encounter extraterrestrial life during their journey around the moon and now we'll have to deal with America's crazy racist grandpa being involved in first contact. PLEASE STAY HIDDEN, ALIENS.

Nominees announced for High School Musical Theatre Awards with Broadway host A big change in this year’s ceremony: A Broadway celebrity host.

While all of the expected shows are well represented in this year's High School Musical Theatre Awards nominations, I do appreciate that the local school leading the noms chose "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812" for their production. Well played, Shen.

I spent years writing about the comics biz & becoming close w/ comics pros, and also worked in a library. This is among the truest things I have ever read. I am amazed by anyone who achieves longevity in either career path. (And the same for journalism, to a somewhat lesser degree.)

Their song "Blue Again" gives '90s alt-grunge vibes in all the right ways - a little Pixies w/ some L7 in the mix, perhaps? And I really dig their cover of "Torn." They're playing in Albany this weekend. Read all about it here:
