I don't necessarily agree with blaming smaller parties for splitting the vote - it represents genuine dissatisfaction which Labour is responsible for dealing with. The alternative is people voting for politics they don't like which leads to sick, stagnant instutions.

Gordon Brown is a champ. Fairly popular with the left and also seen as a safe pair of hands. He's shown a lot of fighting spirit lately with his child poverty and Lords abolition campaigns. I have a very high opinion of him.
