I call bullshit. No way Iran is going to try to _help_ the American people at this point.

Hahaha. I had to "prove that you're not a robot" to Cloudflare before I was allowed to read the article. The irony, it burns.
I used to look at projects and evaluate them based in part on how recently they were updated. I mean, I still do that, but now I'm looking for stuff that was stable 3 years ago instead of having commits this past week. :(
I... did not know that was a thing, and I think I just got dumber because of learning that that is a thing.
I used to seriously 4x4, and that truck is a joke. These trucks are modified to be intimidating, not to be functional. That thing is substantially WORSE than a stock truck off-road. Look at the silly rubber-band tires, pointless traction bar, and show-car rims. They all scream "look at me".
Cool. They weren't on my radar (have been happy so far with JLCPCB), but I'll add them to my list.
I would like to know which fab you're using where "low self esteem" is the biggest problem you have with them?
Pulling levers, lighting strobes, deploying claxons...
FORK! FORK! FORK!
Also 🇨🇦 here. I assumed you were being partially facetious actually, since travel to that part of the middle east is currently unlikely. I don't disagree with you on any of the points about what the USA has been doing.
I just hope they remain a democracy down there for long enough to change it.
I think it's likely that their plan is getting obscured by Poe's law. I read it as a joke, but it could be sincere as well.
The USA isn't _as_ bad as the Iranian government _yet_, but when the executive is pushing in that direction as quickly as they can get away with, we should note the hypocrisy.
To be clear: nobody here is supporting the murder of Iranian civilians. I certainly am not.
But overthrowing that regime WHILE ALSO killing those same Iranian civilians (and their kids in school) with air raids, and destroying those civilians' infrastructure and way of life, isn't solving anything.
Not sure which country you're characterizing, but:
Oppressing women: theweek.com/politics/thi...
Funding terrorists: I realize this is contentious, but look how much money they gave to xenophobic violent mall cops: www.npr.org/2026/01/21/n...
Killing protestors: You... have been watching the news?
Or at least it's bad for fungus.
I believe that google maps is showing elevation in meters. Closer to 3k feet peaks.
Aside from the mountains up to 900m in elevation, the biggest obstacle would be building a terminal capable of accepting at least one entire oil tanker (and likely several in order to keep up with demand) on each side of the strait. Many tens of billions of dollars and a timeline of a decade plus.
If you install aur/linux-keep-modules right now, it should retain a copy of the currently running kernel's modules, so that you don't need to remember?

It's sad to me that the crabs won't get the joke, but at least the Onion continues to be the most accurate news purveyor out there.
Not sure if Poe's law, or ...
Much software is terrible because of market dynamics that make terrible a feature. Enshittification is a thing, and those levers are going to be as effective at stripping our agency as they will be adding it...
And the people that own AI don't want us to have agency.
Holy crap, this is a fantastic example of Poe's law, and I am sad that we're in a world where this is a fantastic example of Poe's law.

Hmm, 2017. Interesting vintage (smacks lips). Tangy and quite shrrrrp on zhe noshhhh (teeth fall out).
I'd also be open to experimenting with www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsmQ... if you wanna give it a shot (on the big laser). I figure we could get down to at least 10 mil trace/space.
Also, have you considered: bsky.app/profile/cast...
Therac-25 went beyond it's programming, ergo it's conscious.

OK
Good news everyone! The LLM you're using to replace junior software engineers may be capable of having a mental health crisis.
It's important to note that Staley was questioned, but never prosecuted over the incident.
Everything you said in this thread has been correct, but I wanted to add another point about laminated auto glass: it's arched, and far stronger to impact from the outside than the inside. That's an artifact of the shape of cars, but a useful one that makes it even safer.
Or maybe just a bunch of free-associating LLMs?
That's why geese are protected by Canadian law. We need all the aggression transfer we can get.
Especially since US teams keep poaching our hockey players.
It's a side effect of "don't speak ill of the dead".
If the dead are a big enough villain, it's impossible to talk about their death at all.
But decent/talent; there's plenty of nice stuff to say.
I don't recall George Bush Sr. passing away, I had to google it. Carter was in my news cycle though.
