I've wanted to look into pathfinder too! Their action economy seems very fun. But again the MOUNTAIN of content for 3.5 is primarily what I like

3.5 is just such a playground. And I've always loved homebrew. But there has always been a kind of unspoken promise of "okay well 5e I'm gonna stick with you but eventually you have to give me some of what I want so I don't have a mountain of house rules to give players"

And that's.. not happening.
