Going on sale 4/8: KESHA & SCISSOR SISTERS: THE TITS OUT TOUR 2025
—fannish friends, this promises to be unhinged and I want that. Anyone interested? Willing to travel!
Spectacular. Thank you for standing up and speaking out.
I need to watch Doctor Odyssey! Deeply ludicrous sounds appealing about now.
WorldCon is go! Hope to see you there, friends I know and friends I haven’t met yet.
Now we have met on the internet! I hope you can make it.
I’d love that ❤️
yup, deciding in the next day or so. thanks :)
Nice! Would be first time for me too, though I do know people in Seattle. It does look like fun!
In an attempt to maintain some kind of hope for the future, I'm strongly considering getting a membership for WorldCon in Seattle this August. Anyone I know* planning to attend?
* have "met" on the internet counts.
It matters tremendously for all the reasons you've so eloquently stated. You post matters too, for sharing the love...and the hope.

dangit! I know the con being early threw off everyone's schedule. But I'll miss you!
Just posted the text of my pimping panel on my feed ^_^
DON’T look at the AO3 fic page before reading the books. Spoilers abound in tags!
Author’s Website: www.victoriagoddard.ca
HotE Support Group Discord: discord.gg/cwBagSMX Chaos gremlins and vicious enablers. ilu! They love to crowdfund these books to deliver them to as many eyeballs as possible.
Audiobooks: Two of the shorter novels are available on Victoria’s site as audiobooks. She self-publishes, so creating audiobooks of the two main novels (HotE and AtFotS, 900+ pages each) is going to take time.
From there you can move on to the direct sequel, At the Feet of the Sun, though I recommend the author’s recommended reading order at www.victoriagoddard.ca/pages/readin....
The Books and Reading Order
Currently 27 32 books in the interwoven series. It is possible to read in chronological order and the gremlins on the Discord have a chaos order list, but I highly recommend starting with The Hands of the Emperor.
To quote Alexandra Roland, “The Hands of the Emperor reads like the best kind of slowburn coffeeshop AU fanfic, if by ‘coffeeshop’ you mean ‘government bureaucracy.’”

Which Cliopher has been patiently, meticulously reforming and disassembling for centuries* so Artorin can be free.
* Don’t ask, time is wibbly-wobbly.
** I will attempt to get through the panel without revealing That Which Should Not Be Spoiled.
Your primary protagonists are Cliopher “Kip” Mdang, a fifty-something* impossibly competent and quietly revolutionary bureaucrat and Emperor Artorin Damara**, a sixty-something* mage trapped under the weight of a fallen empire.
Fealty, found family, culture and identity, the agonizing ordeal of being Unseen AND Seen, and did I mention the yearning?
No dragons, no quests, no white saviors, very few white people in general, friendship and yeeeeeearning, comfort/cozy reading, fanfic-shaped series, All the Tropes, older characters, demisexual/asexual characters, and virtually no fighting.
Why You Want to Read
Primary Plot of The Hands of the Emperor: an overworked civil servant invites his {beloved} (revered) much respected {boss} Emperor on vacation. That’s it.
That’s the plot.
This was my pitch document for the Nine Worlds series at Escapade 2024. Posting here for pimping purposes (without proper formatting, sadly)
