This is absolutely on my mind and why I very much am disengaging from all these platforms. It's not social, they've changed the structure of how you socialise so it's engagement and metrics, not interaction. The days when I actually get to speak to people online are vanishingly rare.
Oh yeah, I think that. I know I've only tried to do things here to push my writing out there a bit, but otherwise yeah, I am not interested in that.

Oh, I get it. I just find even telegram doesn't really work for me, and I just get overwhelmed by too many notifications there. Maybe my feelings will change, but at the moment I don't think I'm making myself or my friends happy trying to keep up with the online grind.
Tech these days is dystopian anyway. It's not fun, it's not helpful. I just want to keep up with friends, and occasionally share something I've made. But that's not what it's for anymore, or has been for a while. It's not going to change either, so well, see you around.
I think it's fair to say these last few weeks something has clicked for me and I've fallen out with any desire to maintain online spaces by on large. It just feels like this weird filter and friction to life, and disconnecting by on large has just been great in so many ways.

Yeah, that's true, there's definitely a lot about personal identity - and communicating that - that comes when you use a fursona and its implicit too.
Yeah, it is, at the same time I'm kinda like, it's good to have that space. It helps people grow and understand each other better. That it changes is natural too I'd say.
I think honestly, it's not possible. That sort of model that's helpful for individuals and most users isn't really one that will make money, and I suppose the attraction of this site is still selling the ability to reach so many users online here.
