This is the grim, depressing reality Donald Trump has made of American life.

Instead of waking up on a Saturday, relaxing and spending time with your loved ones, you now have to watch American towns being ravaged and their citizens being murdered by violent secret police. All because of one man.

I am doing my best to respond to this without a string of expletives. But let's be very clear. What just happened in Minnesota was cold blooded murder of a civilian by out of control federal agents, aided and abetted by the entire Trump administration and their fascist enablers.

This is one of the stories I've tried to convey for a while now:

The Trump administration and its allies have long invoked faith to justify policies, appeal to certain groups, etc.

But the president's religious critics have *also* long been numerous, and increasingly loud.

I loved working here. The #KennedyCenter was a place of beauty and art and pride in this country’s culture. It was a place that celebrated and welcomed other cultures, and was dedicated as a living memorial to JFK. Adding Trump’s name to it is a desecration of the memory of a great man.

OK, time for another update. 12:20 AM right now. They did finally pass the Foxx amendment, then called a 5 minute vote on the rule. It is still open, but at least as of now looks like it is going to fail.

I also don’t understand how anyone calling themselves human can support a bill that will leave millions without health care, and the poorest without vital lifelines like SNAP. But for some “humans” cruelty is the point. #bigbadbill #justsayno
