100% I'm all for people using AI and trying to learn to program, even learning with AI, but I fear the hype behind it all is going to make some of these people just expect it to work 100% of the time.

Mind you, this is also a person who will ask us for help to delete emails from her inbox, because her mailbox is full.

AI is gonna make IT help desk jobs so difficult. We had an accountant ask us to install Python on her computer. I've known this lady for years, she doesn't program. I'm waiting for the day she breaks her computer cause AI told her to just run some code.

Oh yeah I believe that, if the EU did to use what we do to others it would be an outrage. The American Propaganda network runs so incredibly deep.

I think it stems from the way we are taught about our involvement in other countries politics. It's normalized that the US is seen as the "good" guys and we have always gone into other countries and kidnapped their leaders in an attempt to install a democratic leader. /2

One thing I'll never understand working in an IT department is the amount of people who put in tickets when their hard drive or email is full. Like dude delete stuff. Why do you need my help for that??

I had to press enter to scroll through the running config. So I put a 9volt battery on my enter key because this thing is long. And apparently log files are included in the running config. I wish I knew why the vendor did that.

Solution to print a serial connection config file to a local file on my computer .

We had a firewall give out on us the other day. All interfaces on it appear to be broken. But there's a console connector. So my solution, I use the console port to connect log in and now I need to print the running config to my computer. Print all output from terminal to file. Show running config/2

I once took over a client who in their home office had a local network of 10.0.0.0/8. It was a small company maybe like 100 computers. No VLANs. Nothing locked down. Their old IT was like "What if we need the addresses." I can't describe the face I gave the guy.
