Love that you gave NASA a shout-out for the moon missions and LRO that helped you to deliver that nice shot. 😉 Classic.

Oops, 193 was the dark (and modified one)
One last thing, did you notice that art002e0000192~large (the dark one) was missing almost all of the metadata and had JIF headers? I'm guessing they processed that one before posting it.
It's almost certainly the shutter (.25s) number, since the ISO is cranked way up and f4 would make for a blurry mess over 2s with no tripod. But I'm just wondering why those numbers don't match (probably my misunderstanding).
@backyardastroguy.bsky.social Hey Marty— I went down the EXIF rabbit hole on the Hello, World/Blue Marble shots from Artemis II yesterday as well.

Can you help me understand the exposure value in the EXIF looking like it's saying 2s and the Shutter saying .25s?
...well, more accurately, KINI's mother-in-law, Margaret Daniels, resided at the Robin Hill Convalescent Home here, where she eventually died in 1959
We're currently staying at the house where Groundhog Day was filmed, and where Keeney's (allegedly agent "KINI" in the Silvermaster spy ring) family used to live.
@hankgreen.bsky.social Do you know about the connection between the 1993 film Groundhog Day and a potential Russian Spy posing as a Library of Congress librarian and his wife that runs through Missoula, MT and UM? Check out Phillip O. Keeney's story.
Random question, would you have any interest in joining our ANitLO reading group this year as we read a chapter a day (throughout October, of course)?
The time is neigh! We're talking about a tea-themed (Cauldron Club Book & Brew) kickoff event Sunday Sept 28th. How shall we keep in touch?
Having been a 23 year-old engineer, (and 26 year-old flight controller) myself, right out of college undergrad, the story about coming onto shift after a softball game (I played rec volleyball against & with many astronauts at the Gilruth Center as it was known then) really resonated!
Thanks for capturing our (unvarnished) history in such an engaging way.
I was a Shuttle flight controller in the oughts (started more than 20 years ago), and I learned about as much about Apollo 11 and 13 through the 13 Minutes podcast as I had in 10 years at JSC. I sent a couple of my MPSR coworkers links and am devouring 16 Sunsets now.
I'm giving you a heads up near August that I'll remind you in September that we'll be reading in October. ;-)
I think there was a glitch about 6 minutes in, as we were discussing your "thesis" about Justice Roberts. It skipped a bit (maybe a minute). Might want to double-check the edit.
Hundreds of perhaps thousands of protestors on the Square in Madison Wisconsin under partly cloudy skies taken from above
Madison, Wisconsin before the protest and March really even got into full swing. #50StatesProtest
Let this sink in.
Yours looks a lot warmer than ours—thanks for showing up!
Do you think the Orange Menace's favorite dinosaur is the Tyrannis-saur? 🦖
I'm so sorry for your loss, Johanna. My he and you find peace.
Same. When I noticed that I followed.
Perhaps he received ancient wisdom from gold tablets engraved by aliens?
Exactly!
So, what am I suppose to do with all these monkeys?

Reminds me of flowers, space, the glow of charcoal when it's ready to cook. Nice!
