I didn’t get a shiny new medal today, but I did get a shiny new book. And, without a doubt, my type of fiction is the superior fiction of the two!

Happy Monday. We popped on here to remind you to support your local library, support your local stores, read (bonus points for banned books), and breathe.
Remembering 9/11 — honoring the lives lost, the heroes who rose, and the resilience that endures.

Today is Read a Book Day. We don’t make the rules.
September is a huge month for children’s books! Here are three of our new favorite picture books.
Reminder to self. You know what is better than doomscrolling? BOOKS!
Seems like another great day to avoid the news and pick up a book. Anyone else?

Who loves Tuesdays? We do! We do!
Good morning book lovers! Who’s ready for a new book?
How to spend an evening, a day, an afternoon, or a morning! Or a long carpool line, a wait at the doctor’s office, on hold for a customer service rep, or any other time! Books just make it all better.
4 days of online deals? That's a breeze for a big company. But spending an entire week revamping the storefront, tracking down and labeling over 1,300 items, braving the elements, and still managing a bustling bookstore—that's the kind of hustle that deserves applause. Sidewalk sale starts Friday!
Sammie is sleeping soundly, comforted by the fact that our community of book lovers values supporting local bookstores more than indulging the guy who dropped $50 million on his nuptials.
Pssst…all the cool kids are shopping local. Pass it on
Today is a PRIME day to buy a book from an indie bookstore! Can’t make it to a bookstore? Shop online with us or at @bookshop.org for books and ebooks or at @libro.fm for audiobooks. Select our store and we share in the profits!
Maybe next time?
Already a bestseller! bookstoreofge.com/item/BQmk5nU...
Today we celebrate freedom, fireworks, and the fierce independence of our indie bookstore. While the big guy is busy taking over Italian cities, we spend our days matching readers with their next book, and quietly plotting to overthrow algorithmic monopolies one personal recommendation at a time.
Life has us rather anxious this week. How about you?
You know what’s cool? Bookstores. You know what’s cooler? Bookstores with A/C. You know what’s coolest? Buying a book from and Indie on a hot day
BRB I’m going to bury my head in fiction and ignore reality for a bit
Five Bullet Points for the Week:
* Ignored being tired to stay up & read
* Ignored my job responsibilities to read
* Started an audio book to add to the physical book reading
* Picked up books at the store to add to my TBR pile
* Talked about books to coworkers and added more books to my wish list
Today’s Wordle = my love language
Post game wrap up. It started off strong, but lost momentum in the middle. I was tempted to DNF, but stuck it out to see if the ending brought the story to a satisfying conclusion. Honestly, the narrative just really slogged along and got boring. RATING **
First half summary. Chiefs have a big old pile of DNF while Eagles have an ebook, an audiobook, an upstairs book, and a car book all going at the same time.
Bookstores: your source for nonartificial intelligence
We love our loyal shoppers. We also love shoppers who find us for the first time or people who are visiting our town and pop in once. But, mostly, we love anyone who supports indie bookstores anywhere. Thank you all!
The photo is taken at night and shows a bookstore window decorated and lite up for the holidays with star lights on the ceiling and four decorated trees. There are books on shelves, but the photo is from a distance and all details are unclear
Friendly Reminder This Holiday Season:
Neighborhood booksellers may not be billionaires, but they sure do create fun and festive window displays—something we doubt a billionaire would do!
