I am endlessly impressed that bus drivers don’t drive past, pretending not to see me because deploying the ramp for my wheelchair is a nuisance. They act like I’m a valued customer.
The handles on the ramps look nasty. There are better ways to bridge the gap twixt pavement and bus. I’ve seen ‘em.
As he was deploying the ramp, the bus driver told me to cheer up: might never happen.
I didn’t think I was frowning especially. And if I were, reasonable response to how much pain I’m in. Better than approaching every passenger to appraise them individually of the pain situation. Eh 🤷🏻♂️

I have mostly stayed out of Bluesky drama, but I am PISSED at this situation.
Between the awful PR disaster that has been @jay.bsky.team's posts over the last few days, to this ban, I have MUCH less faith in Bluesky PBC as an entity that can pull off managing actual, decentralised social media.
My bedroom window is not so big and certainly nothing special but it has become a haven for ladybirds. I’ve counted at least five gorgeous fat beauties pootling on the glass. I guess they want to come in. But I don’t have any aphids for them to monch!
I invented a great new cocktail tonight. Leave a fresh peach in vodka for thirty hours. Mix the peachy vodka with whiskey and a dash of angostura. Sip slowly over the course of several hours while watching Lee and Cushing camp up the peril in Horror Express. Delightful evening.
I’ve meditated and reflected for 20 consecutive days. Going balls deep for the month of Elul. The King is in the field and I’ve been giggling with her. And it’s really helping me manage my overwhelm in the classroom.
