A perfect of example of how details once highlighted, can change the perception of proportion. The door will be painted in the same shade too.
Colour: Farrow & Ball ~ Railings.

Story of my life.
The ‘after’ photo is one I look forward to revealing. Using all my tricks in one this one…
Benjamin Moore Scuff-X Matte. This is what I used here to decorate this lower half of the walls to create a panel once the carpenter added the beading. This dries fast, easy to apply and is extremely durable.
The ceiling was included in this phase of the work. But it now looks better!
Thank you 🙏
Before & after. Lots of attention needed on this unit. ‘New’ doesn’t mean ‘ready’ to decorate. The colour used is by Little Greene ~ Rolling Fog Pale.
Been such a thought-provoking show. Fully enjoyed it.

Yes, but this is on a whole another level. Can’t truly compare such responsibilities.

Because of who he was dealing with it should have been cross-examination plus belt and braces, twice over.

Agree with you absolutely. You don’t set the standards at what Johnson got away with.

We need a reset of standards.

I guess it’s also going to affect those who else work in such positions what the outcome is. And those who are looking to to start a profession in the sector.

Yes mistakes happen, always. But as ever, it’s always down to what happens *next.

The Door Restorer is a man after my own heart. Great to see you move over to here from Twitter.
That’s much appreciated. Thank you. That’s how we give back and pass on what we know. Great you had good people around you back then. A saviour. It’s hard to foresee past what you can only see in your immediate surroundings. I’m fascinated by evolution.
When I left school, with a few E & G grades, I never thought I’d find something I truly wanted to do & continue to pursue with. Or be any good at, for that matter. I guess in any season of our life, it’s never too late to take a new turn, to learn & continually evolve ourselves. One step at a time..
The accumulation of small details rectified across a project is what separates an average redecoration of a property to exceptional. I’m passionate about bringing back what used to be, to therefore remain as originally intended.
Absolutely wonderful. You could sell your artwork. I was at the V&A not too long ago and you never know, one day!
It’s been a busy week for me…
In my opinion, the Victorian era set the absolute gold standard when it comes to design & taste. This first place is a prime example of fine detail without overcomplicating the end result. Timeless.
Soon to be continued.
Who remembers this one from last year…
Your capacity to remain calm & hold composure is nothing short of astounding.
