Just engaged in the ultimate safety behavior of pushing my EPPP by 48 hours. A friendly reminder for myself and all of my fellow exposure therapists that avoidance continues because it really does feel great for a time! 🙃

setting aside Florida's Board of Governors corrosively nefarious intentions behind this move, as someone who typically finishes drafting my syllabi on <the author blushes in shame> the eve of the first day of class, this will haunt my nightmares forever

A Comment article in Nature Reviews Nephrology discusses how little attention has been given to how the termination of 2,100 NIH grants effect people who stand to benefit most from scientific discoveries: patients, care partners and community leaders. go.nature.com/47nCWmG #medsky 🧪

Really loved working with @courtneybreiner.bsky.social and Hana Zickgraf on this ARFID review! I am especially proud of our assessment tips, differential dx. thoughts, and our attempt to summarize treatment outcomes data that are rapidly emerging. Check it out! authors.elsevier.com/a/1lxOU,4QFJ...

Today I thought it was Thursday for almost the entirety of a one-hour meeting, mainly because I often do work related to this particular meeting on Thursdays. Imagine my horror in discovering it was in fact only Tuesday

I keep getting things that are all over the map (like hard to see an even tangential relationship to what I do) even from pretty good journals and I am like ????

but, I suppose if it doesn't get sorted out, I will prioritize those journals that don't have embargoes NIH-funded work or are allowing for exceptions for those with NIH funding. and for now I am definitely thinking twice about where I review!

not ideal, but I'm trying to table what papers I can for a minute, in hopes that this will sort itself out. I'm also encountering that a lot of people, on the researcher AND publisher side, are not in the know about this or have different interpretations of publisher and NIH guidelines. It's a mess

Some of y’all forget the reason we have food safety regulations is because companies used to do things like adding chalk to spoiled milk so it looked normal.

Regulations don’t exist because governments enjoy them. They exist because pure unadulterated capitalism would kill us.

RFK Jr. is going to release a report on what he thinks are the causes of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

There is reason to believe it won’t be trustworthy, so @defendpublichealth.bsky.social has released our own evidence-based report of ASD risk factors to the public.

Vaccines aren’t one of them.
