Saw a spectacular number of sunflower stars this weekend while tidepooling. 🎉

After about 10 clocks now (mostly gifts to family members) I’m getting much better at finishing the gears, shafts, and knowing what type of lube to put where. Now I’m trying to focus on how to print more precisely to ease up on the amount of finish work required to fit the parts properly.

Yes! Finally getting started on a pride themed clock I’ve been wanting to put together since I got started printing clocks. Ordered last couple of rolls of filament I’ll need. Going with this design shown here. Came out so well and runs awesome (big amplitude)

Going to learn how to play bass during Lockdown 2. Spent a lot of time with guitar in LD1.

Should run for two weeks on one winding. Honestly I think the only thing I’d change at this point would be to beef up the mounting screws and anchors. Couldn’t find a stud.

Update: I think I finished testing this one finally. Had a little spot where the escapement would work itself and hang up ever so slightly on the frame. Doesn’t take much to stop a clock the farther out you go from the drum. Fixed by swapping out a plain spacer with one with a lock screw.
