If anyone was nitpicking in the first place, it was me. I've been there, seen the names and faces change but the corporate decision-making practices remain the same. It's partly why most of my jobs have been with start-ups rather than bigger companies. I just wish I could do more for those affected.

Ah, I missed the "that remained" part. Totally my bad, and I apologise for distracting from the more important points here.
I agree, both are bad. The space has not been kind, and so many talented people deserve better. Having worked at a similar company for nine months, I know the feeling well.
Clarity aside, all your points ring true. Build a community-led business with a focus on your readers / viewers and it's funny how you don't automatically tank like these mills. My heart goes out to all those affected.
Clickout Media didn't let The Escapist talent slip away, Gamurs Group did. Second Wind was created in 2023, before Gamurs sold the publication in 2025.
Clickout Media (formerly Finixio) comes with a whole host of its own crypto and now AI-related issues. Both are awful, I just want to be clear.
Best of luck! I know this feeling all too well.
I recommend doing the PSU before AIO if you're top-mounting the latter. The radiator always blocks the CPU power port in the top-left. Also, cable management before the GPU, since it's the main blocker when navigating the chassis. Otherwise, it's looking swish.
The final season pissed me off more than any other series because it was completely neutered, taking zero risks much unlike the iconic movies that inspired it.
Genuinely keen to hear your thoughts once you're done. I'm reserving proper comment so as not to cloud anyone's judgment.
I haven't picked the game up in months and just felt emotions I didn't think were possible on your behalf. Damn.
Not to mention actual inaccuracies in the dialogue of previous episodes that prompted fan theories that were better than what we got.
Not getting the love I'm seeing for the Stranger Things finale. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was quite GoT messy but it took zero risks with characters. People are probably just happy to see how it treated fan favourites but I definitely expected more from a horror.
Ah, yes. Definitely in agreement there. Terms like that seem to have lost meaning on social media, sadly.
That said, I can see the scene for what it is and accept it simply wasn't aimed at me. That in itself doesn't make it bad (I just think the dialogue kind of does).
I'm not queer, so I don't feel I can really weigh in on the authenticity of it all... However, as someone who studied screenwriting at uni, I feel the whole scene was poorly written, given the surrounding context. I preferred how they handled Robin overall, as it felt more natural.
Always happy to help, especially when this will help get more of your words on the Internet. I can confirm you need a bit of strength; this isn't just a first-timer thing.
This is a good suggestion, and I'll take another look at your list just in case. Since Lex's primarily using Amazon, there's a safety net with returns policy for the first 30 days (sometimes 15 depending on region), so no sweat if anything's already purchased and doesn't work.
At least people WANT your accent, even if their attempt is poor. The only time I hear scouse folk in games is as background characters that are usually poor, rough and/or thieves... Otherwise nobody attempts it or casts scouse actors 😅
One of the main reasons I watched it in the cinema was that there was a behind the scenes trailer touting the use of practical effects and how it was the heart of the movie. Even that zero G scene was practical with no blue screens, instead using physical objects as stand ins for acid.
Most of what's in Romulus is practical. CGI only enhanced certain aspects. Easy to assume more was CGI given how damn awful Rook was, though. I hear that's improved in the home release but I haven't re-watched yet.
My issue is less the price and more the potential battery life with rising specs. It was always going to be a niche product but you can make it so powerful before it'll simply need to be tethered to an outlet anyway---then what's the point?
15 years in the making, this Pendulum album was worth the wait. Great listen front to back. youtu.be/Mgh7JJFO5sc?...
Don't ever sweat the quality of your gameplay. Goal is to win, sure, but we play to have fun first and foremost.
I might hop on with you at some point if there's room for company. I've taken a month or so break from the game.
Damien Mason is wearing Viture Luma Pro XR glasses, facing forward.
This is the most personal review I've ever written, exploring a medical condition I rarely acknowledge, but is all the more prominent in today's world of wearables.
Viture Luma Pro XR glasses work great with the Steam Deck, even if my eyes don't: www.pockettactics.com/viture-luma-...
I'm a big Twisted Tailor fan. Looking sharp!
I've now finished my first day as the new Communications Manager at ExpressVPN! It's a slightly different stride as I move away from full-time editorial, but you'll still see me in your favourite tech and gaming publications on the odd occasion.
It's been a while since I've done an interview and what better way than to celebrate the biggest update ever to my favourite game? Some good nuggets in here about what to expect for the future of Rainbow Six Siege X.
Today is my last day at Club386.
I still have a few pieces left, but with 500 articles under my belt and 60 reviews, I've never been prouder of my work than here. I'm going to miss this team.
I'll still freelance in tech and gaming (as you can see), but my next adventure is a little different.
Woop! Glad I could help.
And I learned that I should've just used 'dissociate' but purposefully avoided it due to the mental health connotations. Maybe I shouldn't get paid to write 👀
