I am prepared to fundraise and invest significant time, money, and effort to do this. It's that heart-movingly meaningful to me. The closest feeling I can compare this to is the boundless passion and drive that American engineers in the 1960's must have felt to contribute to the Moon Landings. 🧵 6/x

This could look a number of ways. Perhaps getting a Masters Degree somewhere (maybe in Bhutan itself?), perhaps joining an organization that is now or will be involved in the GMC, perhaps building a business that can fulfill a need that the GMC will have in 3-5 years. Maybe all of the above. 🧵 5/x

Fortunately, I am at a point in my life where, over the next few years, I could intentionally develop myself to become much more useful to the GMC than I am today. I could build on the skills I already have (in technology, mindfulness, and facilitation), and also acquire new ones if necessary. 🧵 4/x

To whatever extent I can, I want to contribute to this epic vision for how we could live sustainably, mindfully, and responsibly together on a massive scale. I think it's the dopest fucking thing we're doing on Earth right now. 🧵 3/x

In principle I’m in favor of teaching “AI literacy,” but watching the seven contradictory kinds of received wisdom about AI circulating among college profs rn makes me worry a little about the uninformed leading the uninformed. Model capacity is changing more rapidly than ppl update their opinions.
